Are you talking about the players or the NPCs in general? If it’s the players then you can’t force them to change they just love the elves including me. I’m not a huge fan of all of them but am a huge one of the Night Elves yet faction changed because I wanted a new chapter in WoW. If I ever go back to the Alliance will I be a Night Elf again? You bet I will! Just let people be. Not saying you are forcing them but we don’t need a whole new conflict on the imbalance of races.
It’s too bad really that we don’t see Alleria or a Alliance High Elf in a cinematic where he or she just minding their business until some very dangerous comes up and they turn into a Void Elf with freakly looking hair, tattoos, and skin turned ether grey or blue.
basically a Twist of a Warcraft 2 Alliance Ranger with Void Themes. That’s something that Alliance Players would want to see.
We don’t need your approval Kung Fu Panda. We are the Horde now. (I too mean this in jest - mostly).
Looking at old population distribution charts (source WoWRPG). The population has changed in regards to forsaken refugees in orgrimmar and allied races since BfA but you probably adjust this in your head.
Orgrimmar at the time of MoP;
11200 Orcs
1750 Jungle Trolls
1680 Tauren
1400 Forsaken
900 Goblins
500 Blood Elf
300 Pandaren
(Sauce; https://wowwiki.fandom.com/wiki/Orgrimmar not great at all but I trust the ballpark).
Goblins tend to be distributed between neutral and Horde towns and Pandaren and Blood Elves tend to stick to their own settlements.
We all want to be Legolas. What can I say.
Those numbers all come from the RPG Books, which have all been completely de-canonized.
If material from them shows up elsewhere that’s one thing, but given Blizzard’s total aversion to sticking to numbers of any sort (time, population, lifespan, growth rate, etc.) these numbers can be safely discarded.
everytime people complain about the population of Blood Elves I make another Blood Elf.
Hmmmm. Maybe I’ll make a few.
I was on my fem Dwarf rogue and a blueberry elf whispered me and called her ugly “af”. Like my non elf presence offended them.
That’s fair. Wouldn’t be an accurate representation given the current state. But it could be used for extrapolation if someone was trying to ballpark numbers.
You had to make a thread just to be real with yourself?
Oh my god it’s been 14 years, move on.
Those who follow me know I hark on elves all the time, mostly in jest. Some weirdos take me seriously and go full ballistic in defense of elves, which only reinforces the notion that elf players are weirdos.
The only bit I’m actually sour over is how much unnecessary attention elves get in-game while lesser played races like Goblins, Gnomes, Tauren, or Worgen go mostly ignored. We have to beg for scraps while elves get heaped with content every expansion.
Makes playing WoW really boring at times; nothing perks me up faster than a Gnome-centric or Tauren-centric storyline, etc…
I mean, even in jest he kinda does have a point. Blood Elves helped ruin the Horde.
It’s the same problem I have. When the hobbit came out I was excited because it was going to be the story of bilbo and the dwarfs, but then they shoehorned the elves story line into the last two movies giving them a larger plot than they ever had in the books.
Wow does the same thing it’s orcs, dead humans, live humans and the elf’s that get all the focus and the other races are left to gather the scraps.
This is true in game. However Shadows Rising Made the Zandalari in to full fledge Horde members and gave Talanji a seat in the Horde council.
Sadly. I liked their alliance more.
FOURTEEN YEARS
Yes. Fourteen years of nonsense. Some things will never be right, no matter how much time has passed.
Obviously more people who play Horde in this game ENJOY Blood Elves and seeing them.
So your opinion is minority.
So no…
