Considering that 90%+ of them seem to be nothing more than troll threads intending to incite hate, yeah, ignoring them is a good idea.

Mute is your friend. You can’t stop trolls that aren’t blatant and can hide behind vague anti hate loopholes. I know what they’re doing. you know what they’re doing. they know what they’re doing… blizzard won’t take a stand for fear of backlash of the perception it would create. Basically blizzard has painted themselves into a corner the trolls are exploiting.

You also can’t change people taking the bait. some truly believe that the topic is legit. some can’t help themselves from putting in their two cents knowing full well that it is bait.

Since you can’t control other people, all you can do is control yourself. long story short…

Yes!! I mute any topic I don’t want to see. Some days are busier than others in the muting.

And this is the problem, no more discussion. They know about the issue too, but like all other fixes it never comes.

This has soured my perception of Blizzard. I can’t get behind the virtue signaling to please a literal handful. You’d think they could see flags being generated in a sense, but want to know a real great one? I had an actual real life threat stay up here for 2 weeks. You want the screens I’ll send them to you. My only reasoning is not enough flagged it in a dead thread, but that guy who wanted a steak sandwich day gets taken down as a rl threat in seconds…

There is zero accountability anymore and actual issues are getting pushed aside to pander to a few and that scares me.

Discussion? There is no discussing some topics on the GD. To try to discuss labels one as a bigot or racist or whatever the insult word of the day is. So no, I choose not to discuss. Blizzard doesn’t care what we think anyhow.

There’s a reason why I don’t post on media post threads and when I do it’s just to express that those threads don’t belong in a video game.

Good thing that the mute thread feature is a thing without needing any sort of trust level.

Troll or not, those threads do attract some actually bigoted people. I think that’s why they get so big.

It does. Sometimes it even gets actual conversations going.

It doesn’t matter what the topic is when there are perpetuated over and over by the same account (not toon) it should be fair game flagging for spamming.

These things while not a huge deal perpetuate because blizzard automated moderation

I started muting every single one this last weekend… finally. Said my last sane response on one of them & proceeded to mute.

Edit whoops sentence for grammar. I had no idea how good it was going to feel to see the forum just about the game. Really, refreshing!

And if this one goes south absolutely no hesitation on that mute click.
