it was wildly unpopular then and for good reason, i was playing back then, and knew a heap of other players irl, nobody liked that idea except one room temp IQ guy who wanted to change his embarrassing name, but frankly he deserved to keep it. No sympathy.

I’m blown away by the amount of stupid on this thread.
For everyone who says things like:
“No, keep your name filthy ninja looter.” 1. No one who ninja loots something would be stupid enough to come onto this forum and start posting for name changes on their main characters.
“If You want a name change go play classic.” They released name changes in Oct of 2007 while the original expansion was released in January of the same you.
Scream and cry all you want about name changes, but they are pretty much going to come weather you like it or not, so piss off with your crying.
Imagine how mentally ill you have to be to set your group up in such a way that any meaningful ninja-looting is possible.
Anyone setting up a group like that deserves to be ninja’d and should petition to get their name changed to save from the embarrassment of being so bad.
