Let us have an updated Arathi Highlands phase

I don’t post here, I rarely go here, but I just did the new arathi highlands quests w/ faerin, danath, etc.

I like them, but that’s neither here nor there. What I want to emphasize here is that they gave us a whole map that was updated, full of new npcs, cleaned up from the bfa warfront-tied instance.

And then, when the quest is done, and we go through that portal, it’s gone. If you fly back to the Arathi Highlands, you’re greeted with the bfa instance. Talking to Zoridormi, she’ll send you back to the cata era highlands.

While I appreciate still being able to see the best layout for stromgarde (classic stromgarde as a city is much better, imo, than the modern update using garrison assets), I think a third option should be added. Especially for those who have done the quest.

Danath’s last lines in the quest, “You’ll always be welcome in Stromgarde, .” is sweet and nice but we can’t actually go back!

If this is a bug, or a fork-up from implementation, I hope they fix it quickly. If it’s not, blizzard, you did this for Gilneas. You did this for Tirisfal. All of those locations are updated (to a greater or lesser extent) to reflect quests in the area, an instance where you can go about, rp, simply just exist in.

But the Arathi Highlands doesn’t have any of that.

Please, fix this.

–Or, if you’re saving this for a bigger revamp where you restore the original layout of stromgarde but made with fancy new graphics and Red Roofs…fair play continue on.

But, y’know.

Let the rpers have their up to date phases, it makes them happy.

Yes please! I understand the time layering is goofy, but it feels insane to introduce this whole new thing for Stromgarde that you then do not have access to.

Unfortunately they’re not going to bother doing that for the less than 0.5% of us that RP.

Agreed! Hopefully it is just a lack of foresight for the option, and they quickly hotfix in a way to switch to it from the NPC. (Think it would be the first zone to have 3 distinct switchable phases too)

Stromgarde gang rise up!

Gilneas got a (slightly janky) permanent update, I don’t see why Arathi Highlands can’t get an additional phase. The BfA version hasn’t been present day in two expansions now, after all.

I really want to be able to come back to this phase too! Let’s hope it gets added!

OH COME ON THIS WAS THE ONLY THING I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO!

An updated version of an old zone! It goes away when you’re done? Are you kidding me?!?!

It appears to be an instanced setup, not an actual zone phase. If you try to fly out there are hard invisible walls all the way around the zone. Hopefully they can change that because losing it after is really not fun.

This is so ridiculous…

Bumping for awareness. As the leader of one of Moon Guard’s Stromgarde guilds, this is much needed. Honorem Stromgarde!

I want an expansion that takes place entirely in the Eastern Kingdoms so the whole continent can get a revamp.

Same for Kalimdor, but as a separate expansion.

I want this so badly for you guys.

I was wondering if it was a preview of an upcoming re-vamp of the entire old world.

It is just a lot of plunderstorm map assets, but they may have just re-used them for plunderstorm and have been working on re-doing the entire continent for an upcoming expansion maybe.

It does show how old the old world looks and how it could be improved.

This part right here is really ironic in a not-fun way.

‘You’ll always be welcome.’

Blizz: ‘lol not really’

Also this! The RP community really deserves access to this updated zone!

I started this toon on Blade’s Edge back in 2008 or so and it has been my main the whole way through. I leveled in Arathi and loved the look immediately upon entering the area the first time. I did all of the quests and whatever there that I could find in my beginning WoW player abilities, and loved every second. I got Bloodsail there befoer hte nerf, I explored everything there on foot, and the whole area has always been a question mark for me ever since.

I just played through this new content this afternoon and loved it. Every BS fetching quest and everything. I actually felt like I was playing it again for the first time.

I was incredibly upset to learn that it was basically a one-use instance.

The question becomes, do I chase this experience again like I did the original Arathi experience, or do I accept it as a fine time in time and space and move on with the game?

I suppose that I am fine either way, but I would prefer to be able to switch between the time phases at will without the extra shenanigans that come with Zidormi.
