I love the whole housing idea, and what people have done.
But I think it is time for Blizzard to give us the ability to make our own outside house designs.
IE Let us place a door, then build around it. The door is just there to allow us to go inside. Why not have it so we can place the door. (Hope this will maybe become many door designs.)
The designs you have for House Designs outside are great, but this would take things up to a new level.

seeing as they are treating racial houses like heritage armor, ie, wait 6 years just to get your race represented, i’d love to see this so i can just do it myself and be done with it.

It would be nice to adjust the landscaping without it costing decor points. The Razorwind Shores beach-plots right on the ocean are mainly sandy aside from Plot 54, which is the only all-grassy plot while still being directly on the beach. (I know. I live there. And I’ve checked the others for possible neighbhourhood-moves.)
I personally love the greenery and having trees, plants, and grass around, and have refused plots on the beach that don’t “look right” to just stick a tree in the sand without it looking like it’s been irrigated. In order to achieve the look, I’d have to spread items on the ground first, which would take up a number of decor exterior points. (If you saw my house, you’d know I have no points to spare.)
Allowing for landscape options (within reason) I think would be welcomed by many players.
