so like, if i drop my mage's gear to a low level, greater pyro still does the same %hp damage.
I suppose I lose haste but I'm much harder to kill then, right?
09/24/2018 01:39 PMPosted by YthisensHey guys!
There are indeed some issues that you guys have pointed out, which are in the process of being hotfixed. These have to do with Azerite gear slots (and gems) not being weighted in the system as much as they should, and bugs with lower level trinkets being usable at max level. As much fun as it is to relive Taunka Time, we will be working on getting these fixed up.
I've raised the cap on this thread so any further specific examples you guys have that haven't already mentioned would be great, as getting this resolved is a high priority at the moment. Thanks for all the examples so far.
Can I bring up the additional point that if overall survivability goes up and (if) overall damage outside of just the azerite traits affected ability goes up, there is something going on in addition to JUST azerite gear scaling.

you should be ashamed of yourself working for a "billion dollar company" and letting an expansion this !@#$ty roll out.

Remove scaling you low IQ cretins! How hard is it?!? Christ just remove it no one wants it and bring back resil.
DO YOUR JOB FOR ONCE CHRIST!
09/24/2018 01:48 PMPosted by Ythisens09/24/2018 01:44 PMPosted by GlaivegliderCan you give us the formula for how scaling is handled please?
2+2 is 4, minus 1 is 3.
It would be one thing if you guys made these snide and sarcastic remarks and Chris Kaleiki drew that insulting MS paint figure ironically, but it's another thing when your system doesn't work at all. I duel my friend in ilvl 329 full socketed gear and he destroys me. When he puts on gear that is 40 ilvls higher I can destroy him. Fix the game before you make these types of remarks it is insulting.
lmao it took more to kill a MM hunter with 57k health than it was to kill someone with 120k...

I just hit 361 by spamming arenas getting cool gear!!!
Plz remove scaling? :P
09/25/2018 11:14 AMPosted by Stealthoncd09/25/2018 11:12 AMPosted by SekslegIt looks like they fixed this, unless I missed something. I took off my trinkets and rings and went down to 300 ilvl and my drain life @ 100 stacks did the same dmg as when I had the rings and trinkets on at 357 ilvl.
Are you doing this to another person, and having them read you the numbers from their combat log?
The way I understand it, the numbers you see that you're doing, vs the numbers your opponent sees are different.
To really verify this, you'd want to be attacking a friend in a duel and compare the damage numbers from your log and theirs.
i was dueling another person and taking gear on and off between duels. The other person was reading his combat log to me and the drain life dmg was the same at both ilvls.
Do I have to destroy the gear or something to get the benefit of the lower item levels? I is still showing my max ilvl as 358 when it is in my bank and my equipped is 300.
All that matters is your equipped. You can just bag your other items.09/27/2018 04:35 AMPosted by SekslegDo I have to destroy the gear or something to get the benefit of the lower item levels? I is still showing my max ilvl as 358 when it is in my bank and my equipped is 300.
I might just be speaking for myself here or a whole bunch of people but personally I found the stat templates in legion to be the biggest turn off for pvp ever and did not inspire me to play at all, however this xpac I was really looking forwards to pvp as i love myself a good old fashion random bg.
One of my mates who has never done arena in his life wanted to get around it, and we kept finding ourselves being destroyed by people with 80k HP and having what seemed like much better games with equally geared players, this was pretty disheartening for both him and myself because we'd put a fair bit of work into our gear to remain competitive.
Legion pvp was lame because of templates and this current system feels the same because of scaling.
For the love of god please revert the pvp systems back to what they were using honour to buy gear and conquest with caps to get the higher level gear. Anyone who does arena for more than 5 games a season is more than likely there too take it seriously and will find no horror in having to farm out the gear as we have so many times before.
Doing this removes the need for such extreme scaling which makes a lot less headaches for both players and devs alike because you get everyone who will reach the same level of power so it doesn't need to have an invisible hand holding it all together.

Maybe they are here because a super rare lesser-spotted blue was allegedly seen in Blizzard's own PvP forums. Shame it turned out to be nothing more than a well disguised troll.09/27/2018 12:42 AMPosted by Dartaili like how all these randos are swarming this thread and crying about ythisen's meme post because they keep seeing the comments showing up on bluetracker
Likely they're 'swarming' because of how contemptible his comment was over a genuine and serious concern.
Blizzard communication sucks and it's good that those who don't usually come to the forums can see how little Blizz, their Devs and more importantly their CMs think of people who help to pay their wages.
Iāve done heroic Uldir in one shot run this week as well M+.
I should 3*3 but the last week we (363 Ret and 367 DH + 364 RDru) were reaped by 106K hp warlock what isnāt possible in any fair competition. Thanks for this topic I know what the sh itās going on.
For now, itās hard for me to find any reason to log in.
Iāve got same feeling only after over one year of BC, two years of Cata, half year of Legion. You did your best Blizz now it just only one month.

Dude, shut the !@#$ up.
Fu ck off.
Weāre rellevant customers and wanna be treated like ones. When I get supported by GM thereās list of feedback where you rate your experience of being served by GM. Thereās a scale from extremely satisfied to extremely unsatisfied, ok?
You canāt care about how Blizz company looks like in customers eyes in game support and at the same time donāt care how your employees communicate with the same customers on the forum. Itās so fu kcing unlogic. His answer looks like he laughed at our needs.
P.s. we just asked about very important thing like scaling because not only of casual playing but also Esport. Who wanna watch arena with broken game design like Pve trinket from Uldir etc.?
Alright guys stop fighting forreal thatās not the point of this thread. Prior to the Blue post we didnāt have anyone calling anyone names or telling people to F off and we were all unified under the fact that pvp scaling atm is BS and all getting along.
Nothingās gonna happen to Yth & we know heās the CM & canāt tell us info he isnāt allowed to, personally Iād prefer if he posted a meme in a hot thread like this so that we at least know he SAW the thread instead of playing with a fidget spinner at his desk, in a way the memes and jokes is like saying āI acknowledge the things posted here but personally donāt have info I can giveā and hopefully he can get the msg to someone who can do something about it, maybe not but at least thats I take from it. Itās better than leaving us 110% in the dark and replying to GD threads and not postin a single thing here
Hey maybe Iām wrong which Iām fine with also but either way argueing with each other is only gonna get the thread locked

Realistically we need to stop attacking CMs directly for giving us information we don't like. I find it a bit cowardly that those who are making the decisions that are not well received by the customers are allowing the CMs to take the heat, but that's an internal Blizzard problem.
Their job is to relay our collective ideas to the development teams, and then relay that message back. If we dislike the message, we should be responding with how we dislike the message. Don't shoot the messenger.
I'm sure many of us have worked in customer service or retail. Perhaps it's time we call for a manager. Does that work here?

Dude, you don't even PVP. You're the embodiment of the EXACT individual I was referring to when I said," You must not come here often".
It's EXTREMELY obvious that CMs cannot talk, or do not know, about the question he asked. You would understand if you worked for anyone who handed out non-disclosure agreements. Something is preventing them from making a comment on it as well even mentioning the fact that they cannot make a comment. The bashing of a single CM that had the willpower to throw himself to the wolves by posting in the arena forums literally displays the EXACT reason CMs and stuff don't want to post. You guys are using CMs as a scapegoat to take your anger out when they literally have no influence over the decisions going on behind the scenes, what they can and cannot talk about, etc, etc.
Also, his reply was pretty damn funny. Quit being a child and grow up and realize that when you are a pawn of a company, like most of us are, you can't act however you want. Also, like I said before I would find it even funnier if he started calling you a 1550 !@#$ter (which you are) and didn't respond after. Welcome to the arena forums.
