ilvl 611. I logged out in Holy spec and gear because I think my Holy mog is super cute and I just put it together as I started learning Holy this weekend. 
As a tank I actually disagree. Zekky is a hard mechanical and DPS check that pushes most specs to the limit (warriors and paladins especially excluded). Especially in often unintuitive ways to clear spittle off
Tanks are mechanically a stupid easy spec to play and their natural immunity to crits nerfs the need to be cautious with your life and manage the potion use from Brann. In fact, I can already survive a smash as is with purgatory.
If Brann would actually follow my target or the skull marker, I wouldn’t even need him to be a healer as his DPS is a much more valuable resource. Especially in P2 when Zekky spends a lot more time casting avoidables than he does actually pummeling you and where you can’t afford even 1 egg hatching.

I didn’t count my attempts - but It was probably around the 80-100 ish range as well. I know Once I hit 600 I started attempting him on my BDK, but eventually swapped over to my paladin (once she got a strength set for ret >.<)

I’ll attempt this near the end of the season or when I have some extra time… Well, I skipped this week for keys so maybe I’ll attempt it later today. Surely it will be a cakewalk as an item level 612 Guardian Druid.

Haven’t attempted the hard mode yet but I still felt cool when I beat the normal difficulty one.
Music helped lol. First few tries were the games music then I started using this. That 2nd phase in this video just hits the spot for me

It’s a bit late now, but as a hunter you could have made Brann pay for your food.
If you get injured, then use Feign Death to reset without dying, Brann will put up his campfire that gives a primary stat buff (counts as food).
