Oh I pull from the side usually, idk. It’s still just never happened. That’s why I’m trying to work out why.
It also happens because Brann suddenly decides to go to the stone and start his “Waiting” channel, epicly going through the wall and resetting the encounter.
Zekvir is not the true seasonal enemy; it’s Brann.
I finally did it, all thanks to your guidance, Hpellipsis. My key was to focus solely on dodging during the spike phases and the front claw attack; the damage you deal is irrelevant as long as you have enough to destroy the cocoons.
¡Good luck to everyone, if I could do it as a pretty average priest, so can you!
P.D: With a bit of luck, Brann will have a very cruel death in the upcoming patches
can confirm that these talents and game style were enough to get me the kill even with mediocre gear ty for guide
I have a couple more tips that might help.

If you’re near Brann and switch to a healing spec, Brann will immediately put a campfire down for you to replenish your mana with. If you eat at this campfire for 10 seconds, you’ll receive a Well Fed buff that increases your intellect. I was getting about 926 more intellect from this. This buff can also be used alongside any food you bring, so you can have 2 Well Fed buffs: the one from Brann’s campfire and one from your own food. Be aware that if you’re in shadow spec, eating at Brann’s campfire won’t replenish your mana. This tip works for any delve btw, not just the Zekvir one, so if you’re going for Immortal Spelunker it might be worth keeping in mind. Just be aware that the buff only lasts for 10 minutes, so you’ll likely need to refresh it at some point. And if you’re attempting a regular delve as a healer, and you want Brann to put a campfire down, you don’t need to switch specs; just spam heals for a bit, and Brann should put a campfire out when you’re missing about 30% of your mana or so.

If you’re like me and you’re not used to using set focus on things, you may want to consider doing so for this fight. This made it easier for me to tell if Zekvir was attempting to heal whenever I had the cocoon targeted. If you want to set focus on Zekvir, then simply right-click his unit frame while you have him targeted, and choose “Set Focus.” This will create a copy of his unit frame that remains on your screen for the duration of the fight.
Hey, just wanted to let you know, this guide was super helpful, used it over the last few days, and got my kill tonight!
What a fight! Sure it’s ‘nerfed’ but what a mechanics check!
Thank you so much for the Guide! I’m going to give it a go, I’ve been bashing my head against the wall on this jerk, best pull was 45% so was getting close but the most painful part was the enfeebling venom. I decided to see if there was a more in-depth guide of this fight vs the lower ilvl priest that managed it, i copied their talents which was useful but I feel like yours may be even more so as there are slight differences in yours and theirs. As someone who fought to solo an 11 delve on my priest to get the FoS for doing so with no deaths, i’m determined to get this jerkface down!
Edit: Using your guide, I DID IT! I’m so happy lol, it’s been a hell of a pain in my neck and been something I had been trying so frustratingly to get down, and with the help of your guide and talent build I managed it!
For now at 611 and despite following the guide, i only manage to take 10 - 15% of his health at best.
Even if sometimes i managed to follow, every single time a mechanic has a reduced time cast at one point (2 seconds) and kill me.
In general, i find his time cast way too short, at least for my reaction time.
Remind me of the mage tower but not in a good way.
I want the mount and will keep trying but frankly, it’s not enough nerfed regarding the time cast.
As long as you stay close to the boss so you can sidestep frontals pretty comfortably. Focus on that and getting the spell sequence to kill eggs and eventually the boss will die as long as you don’t you got this.
This, this is one of the bigger and most important parts aside from making sure you kill the caccoon and interrupt the heal, using the OP’s macro’s and and talent load-out, it’s like night and day. The fade dispell talent was a life-saver lol.
Thank you very much for this write up! As someone who has never played shadow (Exclusively played disc), I was able to learn from this, down the boss, and feel like I learned to appreciate a new spec in the process! Cheers!
Didn’t bother with the macros but the readup helped me understand Shadow alot better (I mainly play disc). Cleared it at ilevel 609
My least favorite part is having to use fade to clear the slow.
Then Brann gets feared across the room.
Then Zek runs to him because of fade.
Then he cones.
Super helpful guide so far. Getting him down into the 20’s % wise and then getting a freak fade/fear/cone or missing an orb from a fear. Just wearing me down before I can wear him down right now.
Yeah, just gotta be ready to follow after him as soon as you fade. You’ll get it
Got it. 609 SPriest.
Thank you so much for your help.
Tried A LOT. Was out of drums and speed food on the attempt I finally got it. Felt like RNG can play a role in this fight especially depending upon your class.
Glad to have it done and will not be looking back lol.
This is a really good guide. I haven’t played S. Priest since bfa but may need to dust it off because i cannot get ?? down as melee.
I’ve seen Brann get hit by Infinite Horror, the circle at least, not the orbs, multiple times. I’ve never seen him get perma-feared. This is just what guides say, but it’s not true I don’t think. If he got permafeared whenever he got hit by that ability, the fight would basically be unwinnable by classes without magic dispels.
Ah, yes this is outdated information and I can remove it. I hadn’t realised it was still in there.
