Dracthyr are one of the bigger reasons I’m stuck onto the game at the moment until they introduce Drakonid or something similar.
Please do the latter and give Dracthyr the rest of their classes.

Waiting for Drac Disc Priest so I can get my Shining Force back and pick up another CC.
I would rather if you hover Evoker you are a dracthyr body type, but if you want to play any other class it changes you to a drakonid.
it just would rest easier on my mind than being a dracthyr that forgot hot to breath fire, fly and etc.
It’s not about being a dragon it’s about the magic they wield to conjure a visage. And they clearly have the magic. The community would just accept just having those dragon eyes all the Valdrakken visaged npcs have rather than full blown dragon-esq customizations for all races tbh.
It’s in 10.2.5 PTR right now, try it out it’s feels so freeing!

I agree wholeheartedly. If they will let Dracthyer be other classes, I wish they would at least add a tank/ off tank DPS heavy spec… I mean if gnomes, goblins and such can throw down in melee combat why the heck can these tall muscles Dracthyr cower and hide behind being a primarily ranged based class. It doesn’t server people like me who love to jump in and get crazy up close and personal. @Blizzard please give Dracthyr a melee spec!

Being a dracthyr unable to do Dracthyr things is incredibly lame.
You’re a warrior so you forgot how to fly and breath fire?
Why though? We all saw how they handled opening DKs to other races beyond the ones that initially could be DKs, and it was lame. It was basically, “We’ve raised you as a DK, now go out in the world to be the edgiest Edgelord you can be!”
How would letting other races be Demon Hunters be any different? I’ll tell you how it’d be disappointing! When you create your Orc Demon Hunter, you’ll zone in to their class hall. The leader will hand you your first pair of War Glaives and say, “congratulations on your Demon Hunter training, now go forth and become an even edgier Edgelord than the edgiest DK Edgelord!”
Fair…but i’ll be an orc going Whoosh whoosh whoosh slash slash and BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR eye beams and and SWIUNG throwing my glaives and uh uh of FHOOSH fire all around me - but as an orc!
Who said I wouldn’t be flying 
I would play a Dracthyr Protection Warrior in a heartbeat. I have played dragon-type characters in tabletop when I played Dragon Lance and never found a game that came close to the way they looked online. I tried the evoker, but I just can’t get into the Augmentation, DPS or Healer aspects and I love to heal besides tanking.
You don’t have hover.
I totally want Dracthyr to be other classes! I love the dracthyr race. I get not everyone does but there are plenty of people who do like them.
I would love to see what the animal forms of a Dracthyr Druid would look like…lol

I do agree that Dracthyr should be able to be other classes. we see other dragonoid characters as mages and warriors, so there is no reason why Dracthyr couldnt do it too.

I mean, Earthen can be DK and Earthen isn’t out yet.
Why no Dracthyr DK?
I don’t think that would be easy to do due to the wings.
