They gave the reason of not wanting people to be forced to play with the opposing faction if they don’t want to. So they should let horde use the mercenary buff to be in a cross faction party and queue random BGs with Alliance players.

I have literally done this already with friends. I turn on Merc mode as Horde (pre 9.2.5) and we just did a 3, 2, 1 countdown on Discord and we’d get into BGs together as Ally 90% of the time.
Don’t see why they can’t just make it baked into their cross faction system.

Except for the unfortunate fact that they seem to have totally screwed up RBG’s in the conversion process.
I’m sure once they workout the bugs it’ll be alright.

It’s something they’re going to have to work harder to make happen than they did with RBG’s. It seems like whoever came up with the list of necessary adaptations didn’t know what they were doing.

Let them work it out in RBGs so that when they move to randoms, the important content, it’ll work

1 minute Queue time as Alliance, 6-10-13 minute Queue time as Horde, why not make it 2 minute Queue for everyone?! Mish-Mash Faction Randoms is the answer like Mr Joker is saying. With 10.0 coming one day, 1 set of honor gear and 1 set of conquest gear will make Randoms enjoyable again for a lot of people, and what better to make them be able to do Randoms with ANY friends they have, Alliance or Horde.

The purpose of this change is to help top players put together groups. Many were having difficulty to the point of giving up.
There isn’t any concern about players doing unranked content. They aren’t even on the radar.
