Trolling other people has consequences. Silencing should be just the tip of the iceberg.
not required, a group of mad people can just mass report and nuke the game for you. only real way to not get reported is to say nothing at all

in post i linked earlier u can see what someone got silenced for its beyond absurd and with 7 day ticket queues nobody is ever going to look at it before punishment is done
that dude didnt deservd any punishment at all but he gest to sit out of chat/mailbox/groups for 7 days
I cancelled my account so good riddance anyways. I don’t do group content anymore anyways thats how turned off I am to the game and the community.

I don’t think silences are an issue. I’ve never once been silenced for something in this game. And I’m a New Yorker with a colorful dialect when riled up. It’s really hard to get silenced I feel like, although I am aware that some people are unfairly silenced because a group of people mass reported them. That’s a separate issue in my mind though and something Blizzard needs to look into preventing and rectifying.

The restrictions are fine, the only problem is the system being abused.
I agree with this to an extent, and perhaps harsh isn’t the word I want to use exactly. I am a bit confused though, why is that silenced can use emotes and spam them mind you, but they can’t be in a group when someone is trying to invite another player.

i kid you not i spammed one time lf tank and dps for sm gy cause everyone else was spamming i said ill send it once and if not were gonna quest my guildies said alright i sent it in chat 3 times and somebody in chat said report that idiot 3 min later i got booted and banned with the blizzard email saying banned for abusive chat an extensive investigation i never type in chat i use the lfg tool and nobody was in it currently at 4 am looking for the run so i typed
