i am trying enchanting i created the ruin rod nothing seams to work
Not sure what the issue is. If you have the Runed Copper Rod and the proper enchanting mats and you aren’t attempting to enchant a piece of gear that is too high a level you should be fine. You can also enchant the Enchanting Vellums from Enchanting vendors.
Hit P and go to the professions tab on the window that opens up.
Click on the enchanting icon.
It will open up an enchanting window with the recipes you have learned.
You will need to have the runed copper rod in your bags and have the proper materials for the recipe.
If you want to enchant a piece of gear or a vellum (to sell on the AH), make sure it is in your bag. and open the bag.
You should now have the enchanting window and a bag containing the item to be enchanted open.
Click the Process button for the enchant and your cursor will change.
Move the cursor to the item in your bag slot and click on it to apply the enchant.
If the item you want to enchant is one that you currently have equipped, You can also just hit C to open up your character window and apply the enchant to the item there instead of moving it to your bag first.
You obtain materials for enchanting by dis-enchanting gear which is green or better. Many pair enchanting with tailoring.
They use tailoring to create gear which they then dis-enchant for materials to level enchanting.
As you level up a profession, periodically visit the profession trainer to learn more advanced recipes.
Enchanting isn’t particularly a money making profession while leveling. It is, however, one of the professions needed to raid at end game so the market for it does eventually become viable.
The other raiding professions are Alchemy, and to a lesser degree, jewel crafting.
Of the three, alchemy provides the most benefit to you while leveling.
