Legion+BFA = The bane of WoW

14 120s all Neck 90+ all with 15 capes and 450 ilevel with no raiding and mythic+ would argue otherwise. Oh and only 6 months played in the expansion. If that is unfriendly would love to see friendly.

I mean, you just proved he is right. All of your alts can not do relevant content.

You’re going to want to Google titan residuum.

That was sacrificed in the name of cost cutting and crz was the tool they used. It didn’t even work properly for almost 2 years. Players didnt ask for it, it was 100% pure downgrading the game services so they could operate more on less.

I played since Vanilla. I was old school and I remember I was no Lifer back then. But now, I am a family man… Casual but not noob.

I had a Naxx40 Warrior back then. Love the 45 min Stratholme run where speedrun started. I PuG and carry people on it.

Now as a Casual, Mythic+ is the best thing that ever happened in WoW. I love Mythic+. BFA is so casual friendly allowing no Lifers to beat highend content.

Btw, there’s nothing wrong with Diablo 3. Diablo3 is a very good game… fast pace. But WoW speedrun in Classic happened before Diablo 3 came out. Diablo 3 has classes that can tank, heal and DPS. WoW DPSers cant tank and cant heal. They are very different but both are good games.

Fair but WoW didn’t need to take inspiration from Diablo III IMHO

Diablo 3 has no subscription fee. So there are no new expansions being made there regularly like WoW. But how did Diablo 3 found a way to keep their players busy? They introduced Paragon levels once the toon reached max level.

WoW had copied some of Paragon formats to keep WoW players busy. A WoW player with nothing to do is bad for the game. I dont find new WoW like Legion and BFA grindy. You only need 15 min per day for the gold and rep farming not 2 hours per day like from the old WoW. It’s not that bad. The AP and HoA dont need to be grinded. They just level up themselves while playing the game.

The grind is bad if you’re making an army of alts. That’s another topic. But Legion and BFA is way casual friendly than Classic. 1000 gold on a mount in Classic by killing thousands of random mobs to get their grey items for vendor becoz it has no daily quest? And you need to kill 3000 furbolgs just to get friendly with Timbermaw? And how can you play their 5 man dungeons when you are already epic geared from MC and Onyxia? Past is past. Good thing Legion and BFA wont come back to its prehistoric ways of playing WoW.

I’d take legion expansion after legion expansion after legion expansion if I had the choice :man_shrugging:

LOL, what on earth are you even talking about. Have you even played this game before, are you just making stuff up because you dislike mythic+ that much?

What other options did you have that don’t exist today? Questing? Yup, that still exists. Even more gear now with world quests. Raiding? Yup, still can get gear in raiding. PvP? Yup, still can get gear with pvp. Crafting? Yup, can still get gear from crafting, up to 470.

WoW is more accessible now for any style of play and rewards so much more loot than in the games history, yet somehow people are still coming up with this “I-have-no-options-I’m forced-into-content” narrative.

Now your changing your complaint. Do you have an issue with instanced content or just mythic+. Because complaining about “all instanced content” now is like 16 years too late, because in all of WoW’s history, the best gear in the game has always been rewarded from instanced content. And if you go back far enough, it was either instanced content or literally questing or pvp. That was it. Again, so many more options now than ever

Also, for the record, essences are another form or power progression that you can do completely free of instanced content. You might not get all of the very best essences, but you’ll get plenty of good ones and some best in slot, which should be fine for anyone that doesn’t want to raid or do anything too challenging.

I mean, look I get it. When a game developer puts something in a game that gives good (or the best) rewards but feels out of reach, it often leads to people feeling like that content is bad or forced, because why shouldn’t they also get the best rewards. But please have some accountability. If you don’t want to do the most challenging content, that is totally cool. You do you. But please stop complaining about content others enjoy just because you don’t want to do it or you can’t do it. If you are just doing LFR, Normal, or even heroic raids, you won’t need best in slot 470+ gear. I promise.

You play a different Diablo 3 than I do. The way I see it, WoW Legion+BfA are copying systems straight from Diablo and importing them in a super incomplete state.

Why do you think they made Legion and Bfa that way ? I still cant understand their vision

How Diablo 3 would be copied if WoW speedruns started before Diablo 3 came?

What is incomplete? Is HoA = Paragon? You never farm HoA. It just goes up naturally by just doing WoW stuffs. I am not farming mine and yet my HoA level is 93… I dont die easily now on any stuff I do in WoW.

Where in the world you people think you can get gear from World Quests??? Seriously, 445 gear is useless. World Quests are dead content, good idea, but poorly executed. The core of this game now IS spamming M+, which are the only source of good gear aside from your weekly raid lockout or rated pvp ( which you need to do m+/raids to be able to even participate).

Legion was cool. BFA the biggest problem is the gearing cycle and RNG drops.
A piece should always be the same for everyone it drops for on a set difficulty that way theres some standard we can expect.
The story and zones in legion and BFA were cool to me… Legion had the best mogs in WoW so far. The artifact weapons were super fun and cool concept. Zanda trolls and Kultirans are both great additions.

It’s what devs know they can get away with.

Legion was fantastic, did you even play it?

The only problems I had with Legion was the LEGIONdary rng, and the lack of flying on Argus. Otherwise Legion had:

  • The best “gimmick” in Class Order Halls, introducing a unique new story and experience for every class.

  • 3 of the best raids ever released, Nighthold, Tomb of Sargeras and Antorus.

  • The most epic final raid boss since the Lich King, fighting a Titan IN SPACE.

  • Some of the best quest writing and new lore in the game with Suramar.

  • A brand new PvP system with a ton of rewards, earned just for playing a lot of PvP (Honor).

  • A rewarding progression system in Artifact weapons. He k you didn’t even need to worry about gearing your weapon slot.

  • Amazing content for transmog collectors with all the artifact apperances.

  • Some of the best returning characters in Illidan, Velen being in the spotlight, Magni brought back (though poorly written in BFA), Malfurion being in the spotlight for a patch, Cenarious, Bolvar, literally too many to name.

  • Introduction of Allied races.

  • The best looking zones in the entire game with Argus.

  • The single most badass ending cinematic where Sargeras stabs the planet with a gigantic sword.

  • An entire new hero class, we had been waiting for Demon Hunters for ages.

  • Excellent proffessions, especially fishing with the Fisher Friends and Underlight Angler.

Legion was great.

The only bad thing in the direction wow is going is role and content restrictions.
