Legion SV was 10x better as it was an actual spear hunter and took way more skill and had it’s own identity. Now the spec is faceroll and basically copy/paste of BM with a bomb and polearm. Not fun or engaging at all and probably the worst spec ever made.

It’s true. I find myself making sure I keep a steady 3 stacks of barbed shot up with my polearm. I also miss spinning plates and doing less dps than the other specs. But not everyone is like us. Some care about fun over unique concept. Those craycrays!

Legion SV was the best iteration of the melee SV. The traps were awesome, eagle spear baseline, mongoose bite baseline, lacerate, axe toss…good stuff man.

Legion SV was a breath of fresh air in an expansion where every other DPS spec was oversimplified and uninteresting. It took a while to master and reminded me of class design in previous expansions in that regard. Not many things in WoW could match the satisfaction you felt when you finally got the rotation down. Then BfA came along and brought it in line with every other DPS spec. Nothing has really changed since.
Legion was better.
the changes they made to abilities just made me not want to play SV at all.
It was great before SL’s.
