The class specific stuff from Legion was some of the neatest content ever in WoW, imho.
I feel like this is meant to be ironic but I actually really like Shadowlands. If 9.1 wasnât a disaster, if 9.2 didnât take so long to come out and be fun (Creation Catalyst timegate = bad), I think this expansion could have been great. If we had 5 month content releases instead of 8 months, and if 9.1 was better, it could have been really good. 9.0 was a lot of fun and 9.2 is fun now.
I hope you dont actually believe that. Was BFA a success as well?
Yeah I honestly think of covenants were handled better and torghast wasnât the only source of legendaries people would of liked it more.
I didnât say Shadowlands was a success. I said I had fun with it. And I did. 9.1 only barely skirted across the finish line (teetered on an unsub), but 9.0 and 9.2 were and are fun for me.
Best thing about Legion that didnât become baselined in the game. They were so good, idk why they didnât keep with it.
FYI. BFA is an extension of LEGION.
And SHadowlands is an extension of BFA.
Coulda been great if it just had MoP classes. I was offended by that panadas comment feeling salty.
Love to see a source on that.
One that isnât 'Trust me bro."
Legion had a lot of content. Thatâs why people say it was good.
I felt the game got enjoyable to login daily even with menial activities around nighthold. Once we got earlier flying after they dropped breaching the tomb requirement (meaning we would have gotten flying when we got our class order hall mounts), that was when the game really took off. Didnât care about staying up late to 3-5 AM when I had work at 7. Enjoyed my stay. Just wish that it lasted 2-3 more months in 7.3.5 instead of what we got for bfa 8.0.
Legion is why we are at the problems we have now. It was only good in comparison to WoD and borderline unplayable until 7.2.
Thatâs a very low benchmark to set considering every issue the playerbase has had with the past 2 expansions are ALL ENTIRELY rooted in Legionâs design philosophy. The only difference between Legion and BFA/Shadowlands is quality of the story. Thatâs it.
Probably because class specific means every single quest is x12 (now x13).
Legion just got a ton of Dev time on it for some reason in the quest department.
A short 10 quest chain made class specific is all of a sudden 120 quests which is more than most entire zones. And players that donât play all the classes just get this shorty tiny quest line.
I love class specific stuff, wish they would do more of it.
The only thing Blizzard should take away from Legion is that the only Legion patch that was good was 7.3.5.
There is VERY little good about that expansion but for some reason you idiots are constantly praising the expansion that is the literal reason why BFA and Shadowlands turned out the way they did.
Legion played way better than wod.

The forums also hate everything.
Even classic and TBC classic forums hate their game
Tbf the sheer volume of distinct questing paths in 7.0 really hasnât been topped since. Each play through of the 12 felt like picking up a new race back in early wow and leveling through their zones for the first time. Yeah the hoops are the same in the end but at least didnât feel bad in retrospect like wod/bfa/SL campaigns.
Alot of QoL was put in with 7.3 which was half of legion regardless.
And tbf people judge mop heavily with 5.4 in mind as well. And that was 399 days long.
WoW needs a culture change.
Development shouldnât stagnate, but they need a focus on quality story, immersive content that isnât flash in the pan grinds. I miss the days of developer or GM involvement in games. interaction, more QoL improvements to guild management and all around guild administration. Iâd love to set guild repairs with a daily limit for ranks, I would like to have a MoTD appear as a pop up rather than an easily missed chat window messageâŚI would love to see old guild challenges revamped to reflect the trials and tribulations of modern content, the return of guild achievements. Bilaterally merging raiding guilds through a raid sign up system in game.
Player created events, not a singular emphasis on the big 3 for how content is driven (M+, Raids, PvP)
Updated BGâs, art wise and more types of (more cap the flag, more territory, etc)
either an increase to personal reagent bank size or a guild reagent bank tab that can be sorted by types and organized with the click of a button and also deposited by the click of a button.
