Hello!
I am trying to collect the hidden artifact appearance for arcane mage, but unfortunately Cote “Shepherd” Metcalf isn’t dropping the item to unlock the appearance. I did all of the preceding steps (poly all the beasts, get the rng event in class hall, click sheep in class hall and stormheim, travel to elwynn and watch the RP) but I am only getting bronze when killing him.

I’m also having this problem. I’ve fought him a good handful of times just to make sure Remix doesn’t have some weird RNG going on but no luck. Just bronze and a random belt on one of the kills.
Did you happen to get this resolved? I’m now in the same predicament.
I haven’t. I submitted a bug report but nothing yet. I just went out to Elwynn again to see if something was silently changed, but unfortunately not.
Neither Cote or Craig Ryan V are interactable, at least on my server. I showed up and they were just staring at each other waiting to fight, lol.
Same thing for me. I went back to check today and now the two are just standing there, not even playing out their dialogue so I can get through the fight. So, it’s officially more broken than it was before. lol
Still not working. Went back and Cote was interactable again, did the fight, but still no hidden appearance. I tried turning off heroic world tier, but unfortunately Cote and the mage inside the tower do not have any dialogue/RP as normal.
I am in the same boat, I also submitted a ticket bug report but no luck
This may have been fixed with the hotfix yesterday. I flew out there to try, but unfortunately the encounter is still bugged on my server (not interactable) so I would have to wait until reset to check.
Can anyone go test it out?
Edit: Anyone have any luck with getting The Stars’ Design from Suramar mobs for Fire? Just dropped for me from mobs in Terrace of Order in heroic tier, while in Fire LOOT specialization (Arcane spec) just to make sure it dropped!

this is happening to me, too, and it’s December now.
this is still happening, Cote and Craig are just standing there, no rp at all and I’ve waited for ages for any changes. its totally bugged. I have done all prior steps including sheeping all the appropriate animals, finding and exploding the sheep in the class hall, finding and exploding the sheep in stormheim. this last step is severely messed up. the character in question has never been in heroic tier, only normal. but I went back to dalaran and turned on hc anyway. returned to tower of azora to find the npc’s in the same state. made a trip to dalaran again and switched back to normal tier. back to azora. nothing has changed. its undoable.
You all must have some decent RNG to have gotten the sheep to spawn in a week or less and multiple times for some of you. I have yet to see it even once, running the macros to see if I did everything right, including repolymorphing the animals a second time through just to make sure. Blizzard RNG is really painful sometimes, but knowing them my sheep will appear on the 18th of January, because Blizzard.
The tip to get invited to another server/phase worked for me!
Just had a friend from a different server fly out (doesn’t need to be a mage, but does need to be in the same world tier - we were heroic). If they get to the tower and the world is grey for them telling them they are leaving the timeline, when they invite you it’ll phase you to them and can trigger the event (they can help you with the event too if needed)
Note: I did the entire process of getting the hidden arcane appearance in Heroic world tier and did the Tower event in heroic tier
My friend and I were both in Elwynn and couldn’t see each other until he invited me. Once I joined his group, it phased me to his server/phase. The event spawned and my friend was no longer in the ‘leaving the timeline’ phase and could see the event and help me with it
this didn’t work for me, friend on another server tried with both a mage and another class. it did not work with either character to phase me over to be able to do this event.
updating here to say I got fed up with the level of anxiety it was giving me trying to get it done in remix. I transferred the mage to retail. the event started immediately and had absolutely 0 issues completing it and now have the appearance.
for me the mage was an alt I had no intention of doing anything else with (completed class hall up to and including regular mount and got the other hidden appearances already), obviously you may not want to do this quite yet if your mage is your lemix main. but I’m putting it here as an option.
I already had the 2 other hidden artifact appearances and was stuck having Cote and Craig staring at each other in Remix Heroic & Normal
I tried all the tricks
Resolution: Converted Mage to regular Wow, took the Org zeppelin to STV, flew up, landed, walked to stairs. Event starts and completes without issue.
NOTE: I did equip Aluneth and was in Arcane spec before I approached the tower.
When you convert from Remix to Regular wow, it gives you:
With only 1 day, 10 hours & 40 minutes left of Legion Remix, this event is still bugged. I switched to Heroic World Tier & finally got Craig Ryan V to show up with Cote “Shepherd” Metcalf, but the event will not progress.
