I’m running into the same problems with retail. Haven’t tried on MoP Classic but on retail it’s 50/50 if I can log into my character. I either get “character with that name already exists” or I finally get in the game and can’t interact with anything so I Alt+F4.
Whatever they did broke more than just remix, and none of their client-side “solutions” are working.
