I have missed out on many cool things I would want but I am not crying for them on the forums or at all. Its gone, accept it. Its not that hard. You people are wrong to not accept a no by the company twice. You make up problems that arent ones and you cant solve that problem because its not there to begin with.
Nope. A skill based challenge is a skill based challenge no matter whether it is a physical skill, a mental skill, a reaction skill, a coordination skill, or a combination of multiple of these (games are typically reliant on mental, reaction, and coordination).
Elitism has to do with whether a person view themselves as superior to others on the basis of a particular quality, regardless of whether that quality is perceived or real. The mere notion that a challenge in a game exists has nothing to do with some people having issues of viewing themselves as superior to others.
Sorry to hear that. None of this is relevant.
I didn’t play during Vanilla when the Gates of Ahn’qiraj were opening. My US account is far newer than my EU account and I can’t ask to get some of the stuff from my EU account on my US account.
Your inability to participate doesn’t mean that you are entitled to the rewards of participating and succeeding at a challenge you weren’t there to participate in. A good and accurate analogy would be that if you miss a yearly competition one year, you can’t come back a year later to participate in last year’s competition.
If you can’t accept that, then that’s a personal problem. In regards to this particular topic, that’s the basis folks are arguing from that they are still entitled to the rewards from last year’s competition.
Correct. On the basis that Blizzard said that they would be time exclusive for those who played during Legion.
You did the challenge during Legion, you get the rewards.
You didn’t do the challenge during Legion, you don’t get those rewards.
My position is that Blizzard should be honest and reliable in their communication. You are arguing that they should be arbitrary and unreliable, and engage in ad hominem galore to justify this position to try to paint your personal issues as superior to factual reality.
That is a combination of both elitism and entitlement.
It wasn’t removed “for you.”
The deadline was “the end of Legion” and that’s the same for everyone else.
Again, people can’t participate in “last year’s competition.”
See my response to Elzsa for context.
Thank you for proving my point that none of this is about doing the challenge, but rather you just feel entitled to the rewards that you did not play the game to obtain. None of that has to do with FOMO, that is just you having entitlement issues.
Nobody believes this. Cope more.
Nobody believes this. Cope more.
Why would I need to cope? Blizzard is on my side.
Maybe you need to cope with their decision?
Why would I need to cope?
Because you tried correcting someone’s grammar when it was already correct displaying your own lack of grammar comprehension.
Terribly sad.
Agree to disagree. Good luck with keeping those skins on lock-down. When they come back they may have a light alteration of some sort or even be graphically improved just to “keep their word”.
Once again as was the original Mage Tower completion it’s just a matter of time. Blizzard likes to keep stuff like this in their back pocket. Next time someone from Blizzard messes up and their is a mass exodus all these types of controversial requests suddenly happen.
Agree to disagree.
There’s nothing to ‘agree to disagree’ about. You are wrong, have engaged in fallacious reasoning and logic, been incredibly rude and insulting, all in order to justify a personal based on entitlement.
That’s your full ‘contribution’ to this topic. There’s nothing to ‘agree to disagree’ about with that.
When they come back they may have a light alteration of some sort or even be graphically improved just to “keep their word”.
… recolours have always been fine, this is just you moving the goalpost and then trying to assume some argument in order to create a strawman. Yes, recolours have always been fine - hell if they had brought back the appearances as recolours I would’ve been stoked for it!
Next time someone from Blizzard messes up and their is a mass exodus all these types of controversial requests suddenly happen.
Were they to go back on this they would literally kill off the game within a year. Whether it would be fully dead within a year or how long it’d limp on is a different question. But were Blizzard to go back on this particular promise, all of the endgame players would leave and Blizzard would just be left with the “transient” playerbase.
Ya’ know, the ones who leave after having played the latest patch for maybe a month or two if even that. Once a MMO loses its core audience of consistent players, MMOs die off extremely quickly.
So… no. They aren’t ever going to go back on this particular promise, because they know that if they do that … the game is dead. But it is a good thing to know for folks who know about this because it means that one know that if Blizzard does this, the game is dead, and one can just leave the sinking ship early.
The idea that you see this as a “right or wrong” issue rather than a variation of many opinions participating in a discussion says a lot about you. My take is that you are unreasonable and apparently overly sensitive. That said that is only my opinion which is subjective kind of like peoples feelings surrounding the mage tower skins.
The idea that you see this as a “right or wrong” issue […]
Because in large parts, it is.
Blizzard said that they wouldn’t, so they shouldn’t.
You argue that that despite them saying that they wouldn’t, they should. The basis of what I’m saying is that I want consistency from what they are saying, and you are basing what you are saying on “gief me I wants.”
Only one of us two have displayed any personal emotions in regards to the topic.
My take is that you are unreasonable and apparently overly sensitive.
Facts don’t care about your feelings. Your “take” is just you engaging in an ad hominem because you can’t argue against the fact that Blizzard said that they wouldn’t do it, but you want them to go against that because you feel entitled to something you didn’t play the game to obtain.
At which point you then said a bunch of insulting stuff to discredit me as a person, rather than me accepting some simple facts I stated back at ya’. Grow up.
The only thing I won’t forgive is family attacks
Understandable that’s a level even I won’t go to.
Because you tried correcting someone’s grammar when it was already correct displaying your own lack of grammar comprehension.
You sound terribly upset i made a typing mistake.
Want to know a secret? Blizzard isnt going to change their mind still
Stay mad LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Google has to apparently update their definition of “no” so we can move on :3
Next time someone from Blizzard messes up and their is a mass exodus all these types of controversial requests suddenly happen.
Even during the lawsuit and legal accusations Blizzard faced during COVID and Shadowlands, they didn’t suddenly open a “vault” of removed or retired armor and weapon appearances.
What you’re saying is factually incorrect. By all means, hope all you want, but if those serious allegations and the loss of hundreds of thousands of players didn’t compel Blizzard to bring back Challenge Mode or Mage Tower rewards, nothing will.
Blizzard has always seemed unfazed by players threatening to quit or unsubscribe over these items. Personally, if I were Blizzard, I would never give in to the demands of players who act emotionally and insult others, or the company itself.
Few players who ask for Mage Tower or Challenge Mode items to be restored to the game do so in a reasonable or level-headed manner.
I wish the Mage Tower was brought back for Remix… That said Elitism has always been present in the WoW community and the WoW development team. Heck! in the early days the entire game was Elitist by design (for its time) If you didn’t have a raid team you were literally a second rate citizen in WoW.
Long story short… I’m not surprised the Mage Tower was kept out of Remix initially though it may yet still make an appearance in some fashion.
You people are so gd dishonest.
It wasn’t kept out of Remix for “elitism”, it was kept out of Remix because the rewards were never intended to be earned by upgrading your gear with a bunch of bronze then blasting the challenges with your overpowered gems.
You were supposed to get the rewards using the legendaries, artifact weapons, talents, spells, and CLASSES we had available at the time.
The legendaries and artifact weapons have been deactivated.
Talents and spells have been changed or removed.
A new class has been added.
Oh and one I forgot, which will apply in the future since Blizzard said this isn’t a one and done thing. DHs will have a new specialization, which didn’t have a challenge back in Legion.
That’s why this was a limited time event and why it’s not being brought back to Remix. Has nothing to do with whatever fantasy you guys are dreaming up.
Understandable that’s a level even I won’t go to.
Sadly I have had three or four people make those kind of comments.
That point my only goal is to get them a vacation.
Contrary to what some believe I’m actually a nice guy the majority of the time. I just work blue collar and don’t sugar coat things.
Wait you mean that the remix edition of something I know and it might be different?
Sounds awful but I’ll do it for the art teams who worked themselves to the bone for all these recolors.
But I guess they’ve been sitting around in void storage until Blizzard needs more allowance or the share holders will be sad.
Contrary to what some believe I’m actually a nice guy
That point my only goal is to get them a vacation
This sounds oddly familiar.
You sound terribly upset i made a typing mistake.
I found it funny you incorrectly tried correcting someone’s grammar then in embarrassment tried to lie about quoting the wrong person. The lie there highlights how ashamed you were.
This sounds oddly familiar.
The context was someone making inappropriate remarks about my wife and child.
I found it funny you incorrectly tried correcting someone’s grammar then in embarrassment
So you are upset?
