It’s really going to be funny when Blizzard does bnet posting and these classic alts with almost zero posts count that come out of no where that suddenly care about this issue gets merged and we see what we have known all along: these threads get carried by the same handful of people.
One were you failed to understand because it was Blizzard who told ya’ll “no” and explained why. You were just screaming no because you are behaving like an entitled kid who cannot accept that the answer is “no” and that there’s a reason for it.
It won’t lead anywhere, because you won’t accept objective reality.
The MT appearances shouldn’t come back even if folks want them to, as that would rely on wanting Blizzard to be worse at communicating rather than better. Every roadmap, interview, blue post, and more would at that point be unreliable and we couldn’t trust any information ever again no matter how important that information is.
Folks already complain about it but ya’ll are so stuck on “but me want stuff” that ya’ll are arguing that you want Blizzard to make decisions randomly on the basis of the whims of less than 0.02% of the playerbase. For all intents and purposes, if they wanted to - you are saying you’d be happy with them banning you for no reason and just randomly because “lulz some folks on the forums wanted Pip to be permanently banned.”
They make some concessions about some things that can to some extent be justified. But not all things are equal in that regard. The Violet Spellwing is one such example where one can make the argument that as a “friendship”-mount, it is fine to have it returned - you can make an argument that it isn’t, but at that point you are arguing for its removal; not to extend this to the stuff that wasn’t ever on the table to begin with.
So this “conversation” won’t lead anywhere because you and others cannot accept that they have given their reason and that their answer is “no.” On the basis for stuff that virtually everyone can agree with are good reasons … except for folks who feel entitled to stuff that they aren’t.
They are readding deathless to one of the harder mythic raid tiers made back. This doesn’t really hold water
The point of “FOMO” (I really hate that term) is to get people to participate in content when it’s current. The reward is also Blizzard’s way of saying thanks for doing it while current.
Blizzard can say “hey people are playing our current xpac” the players can say “hey I earned this exclusive reward”. It’s a win-win for both parties.
Cry babies need to get over it.
This doesn’t make sense in reference to immortal mythic
Just like Challenge Modes this is just another situation of the ignorant thinking Blizzard actually cares about their goodies and not prepping and reloading those exclusive rewards for future remixes or events.
It’s never about respecting prestige, because otherwise they’d not reintroduce old unobtainable things arguably WAY harder to get than your freebies towards an end of an expansion.
They are trolling or are blind to the obvious double standards.
I wasn’t talking about that. You were also arguing with the good vs. bad aspects of FOMO. At least I think you are since I have Shady on ignore.
Sorry not sorry I’m not trolling. 100% serious.
Ah to sum it up if the difficulty can be replicated I think the rewards should return. I rather mage tower weapons return to live rather then remix ideally though
Well, they can’t because you know Blizzard deactivated everything.
Which, is another reason some things are limited time events.
Which is funny cause current mage tower is harder.
I forgot you had done that. Shame, but oh well.
Having gone looking as to why you did, feels a bit silly in hindsight.
First off the point was you explained that being told “No” should immediately cease all opinions and posts simply because “No” was used by blizzard and players like you. I told you “No” I’m not changing my opinion and threw your crap logic right back in your face. You literally hounded me after I told you “No” im not shutting up multiple times. The point was that you did not adhere to your own logic. But lets move on… Unless you really want to go back down that road. Personally I don’t I already made my point known.
It’s just a matter of time before they return. Right now reality shares your point of view because Blizzard is not desperate enough to peev off the “extremely low” amount of players who got the items. Do you think Blizzard cares about promises over money? They are riding the player housing wave. So yes as of right now they are able to honor their “promises”. But wait until the content gets low, Players stop paying money, and population begins to tank. These items will be the next new feature. Personally I would like new items of that level detail to be made. But they won’t do it they will cut corners to save (you guessed it) money. When this happens they may introduce recolors to attempt to do some damage control. But they will return because greed is stronger than promises.
Not at all what I said. What I said was this:
You have been told no, and you have been told the why. No, there’s nothing to prevent you from advocating for a particular position nor should you stop because “someone told you ‘no’”, but what you have to do is acknowledge that you have received an answer and more importantly in this case, also the why.
That’s what I said. Then you started going “Nooooooooooooooooo” to literally everything and anything.
Right now reality shares your point of view because Blizzard is not desperate enough to peev off the “extremely low” amount of players who got the items. Do you think Blizzard cares about promises over money?
You don’t get this. It isn’t the number of players who got X items that matter, but what they have said and why what they have said.
Of course they care about money over promises, but they also know that they make more money if folks feel like they can trust playing the game. Would you play a game where you can randomly one day just because someone said “wouldn’t it be funny to ban Pip” by some random number of people on a random forum?
Would you seriously play a game where you get randomly banned for doing nothing wrong at all? Would you play a game where it is arbitrary whether you get a reward for something you have participated in or not?
People are willing to spend money on stuff when they know what they are spending their money on. When people don’t know, they don’t want to spend money on those things.
But wait until the content gets low, Players stop paying money, and population begins to tank. These items will be the next new feature.
Yes, that’s my point.
When these things happen it indicates the death of a MMO. We have multitudes of MMOs to demonstrate this and even some companies who buy up old dying MMOs as a business model to do this exact thing.
Josh Strife Hayes has been doing this series for years, so we know this is a well documented thing that happens to dying MMOs. Not the ones who are alive and well.
I prefer WoW to be alive and well, as it is more fun, and I’m willing to spend money on that. If they do this stuff, then I know that they are telling people that the game is dying and on life support … and only have a few months left of it being profitable if even that.
At which point, the game won’t be much of a game for much longer - but rather just an endlessly sized premium store full of predatory business practices.
It’s just a matter of time before they return
Nothing indicates this.
They are riding the player housing wave. So yes as of right now they are able to honor their “promises”.
They’ve been riding a lot of different “waves” over the years then.
Imo these comments give a lot of “wow is dying” feels.
People love to claim this and have been claiming this for over 20 years. And nothing ever points or enforces this.
“They are able to honor their promise NOW!” - Now turns into 10-15+ years of these things not returning. What’s the next big “wave” going to be after housing has lost it’s hype?
This is nothing but a throw away, ever moving goalpost argument. You aren’t getting it now. So you have to mental gymnastics the reasoning.
Mop armors haven’t returned - 13 years ago
No wod weapons - 11 years ago
No legion artifacts - 9 years ago
So again, that’s a pretty long “wave”.
What happened after SL?
They completely changed the games direction, content speed and amount as well as overall quality.
They didn’t dig into recolors.
Another weird nothing burger that can be disproven looking at the last very unsuccessful xpac and previous downward trend of wow.
I think they are saving this for a break incase of emergency like the demon hunters for legion.
I don’t think these have enough hype to warrant holding onto them for emergencies.
I feel like a “break incase of emergency” would be more along the lines of corrupted ashbringer.
Ehhhh I don’t know kinda got to many ashbringers already kinda lost some coolness in legion.
It isn’t the number of players who got X items that matter, but what they have said and why what they have said.
I wasn’t there (obviously) but all the sources that I have looked at claim that the Mage Tower as a whole was a limited time event. If this is true then this means Blizzard already broke the promises they made. With the mage tower returning back in later expansions for Timewalking was already a breech of their word.
So if the information that I looked at is true this means… They said MT was limited time… Then they removed it entirely…then brought it back (without the artifact appearance). Not once did I see on my findings Blizzard specify that just the artifact appearances were time limited… It was the whole tower.
Is this true?
Which is funny cause current mage tower is harder.
How would you know? You havent done either of them.
It’s just a matter of time before they return
Hey, 10 years and counting. How has that worked out so far?
