Legion Remix - Mage Tower

Yep, exactly.

The OP doesn’t even deny it.

Perhaps do the current mage tower before complaining about “fomo” and what you “missed out” in legion.
You are missing out right now by not participating in what we currently have.

I see the point you’re making, but I believe my point still stands and it’s clear. I was looking forward to doing it within the setting it was relatively designed for, get a good challenge, and get some cool rewards. This post did discuss bringing back the appearances as well, but the fact it’s not coming back at all is a wild decision for all the reasons discussed.

Ok. I have no idea what classifies as “free” and what isn’t “free” within the context of the game. If by free you mean by reintroducing a challenging game mode, cool rewards (yes. even bring back fomo rewards), and receiving said rewards for completing it, then yes. I do want “free” rewards.

Ok. My apologies. I thought I made myself clear through my posting and replies. I think FOMO stuff is not great within the context of a live service MMO RPG. I can provide snippets though if you’d like

I assume you’re saying this because I didn’t immediately respond to you.

I don’t know how doing the current mage tower solves the FOMO problem around cosmetics. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to talk about a main feature from an expansion being missing when we go back to revisit said expansion. I’ve also laid out my case on the point of FOMO cosmetics not being great for live service MMO RPGs.

That’s what Classic is for, not Remix.

The people telling others to stop complaining, stop talking about it, enough already, etc. just want to suppress the conversation. They don’t want even a sliver of a chance that these skins become available again for others.

I highlights the fact you are complaining about missing out when you haven’t even done the thing in game RIGHT NOW lol.

Then revisit the mage tower up right now and do that before complaining about something you don’t even know anything about and apparently “missing it”.

Great case. Wow is 20 years old and there is very little actual “fomo” other than season content. And it works pretty good.

Wanting cm stuff in remix would be “free” since remix is a meme version of the game.

Then ask for it in a mode that matters. Like retail.
Asking for it in remix just shows your entire hand lol.

We dont have to do it right now because it isn’t going to be arbitrarily yanked away at some point. We can take our time and get to it eventually.

No one here is saying it needs to be easy to get the mage tower weapons, just that we want the opportunity to try. It could be harder for all we care. It doesnt even have to be via remix. We dont care how they put them back in the game, just that they DO put them back in the game.

That’s not Remix.

Its like blizzard keeps telling you no, and people keep crying like spoiled children when mom tells them no icecream

Blizzard spent years saying no to elite pvp gear and aotc mounts, then brought them back. “No” means “not right now”, and if you haven’t figured that out by now that’s genuinely on you.

I think it’s odd that you and a couple other posters seem to think I am trying to “trick” the developers of rereleasing cosmetics. I feel as though I’ve been very upfront about FOMO cosmetics being something unhealthy for the game in the long run, and that it should all be available to earn. I’ve been clear in my various responses as to what my reasoning for that opinion is. It’s like I’ve said many times on this post, I am a player giving feedback on a feedback forum. It’s simply my opinion to take into consideration when they do whatever analysis they do on the sentiment of the player base.

However, the main point on FOMO is this:

I’m a vanilla player, but yet have no “exclusive” cosmetic from that time frame, same with TBC, and the same with Wrath. I think they made a run at this from MoP to Legion, and I don’t think it’s panned out super well. In other games I’ve played (like Destiny) it felt really really bad to come into a game that had been around for awhile, look for things to design my character, and find out that such and such isn’t available anymore because I didn’t play during X time period.

The FOMO argument centers around the FOMO cosmetics. My point is not removing content because Blizzard has been really good about not doing that. Once again, this isn’t some trick I am playing. I’m being very upfront in my post. I was looking forward to doing the Mage Tower in Legion Remix. I assumed there’d be some interesting rewards attached to it. I am in the camp of people who want the MT appearance to return because I don’t think FOMO cosmetics should be in a live service game like WoW.

What are you basing the opinion of it’s “worked pretty good” on? I assume you’re using the evidence that the game has lasted as long as it has, but how do you know that it is because of this model or despite this model?

This is exactly right. My hope is that it would be sufficiently difficult to achieve. I do think based on the latest responses that two issues are being conflated. I am both advocating for the return of Mage Tower in Legion remix with or without the original cosmetic, and also for the return of FOMO cosmetics like the Legion MT cosmetics.

I disagree with the point that it’s what Classic is for. I don’t necessarily disagree with the Remix point. However, it is a pretty large hole to be missing from that expansion.

The Developers have been wrong. Remember when they stood on stage and told people they wouldn’t want Classic servers? It’s okay. Had players been like, “Oh. That’s it. Pack it up.” classic may have never happened, and Blizzard wouldn’t have made a bunch of money and made a lot of people happy.

Ah yes.

“Not at this time” apparently means “never”

Keep embarrassing yourself.

Cool

Can you point out the part of mop remix where those challenge mode rewards came back?

I’ll wait,

"Have you ever THOUGHT about it? Notice that capitalized word there?

Does that translate to “Will you ever?”

Youre an embarrassment, just stop

Okay. I think it’s clear you’re either trolling or trying to gaslight me.

For anyone reading this, just watch the video they posted, and I think it’s pretty clear.

Where on earth did you pull this point from?
Who said this?
Quoting myself just so you can see how ridiculous this massive strawman is.

You literally made a post about mage tower in remix and you completely ignored what I said and pulled this nonsense from your posterior.

Again. You completely ignored what was said.

You were looking forward to something they said numerous times wouldn’t be in remix. You set yourself up for failure.
Again quoting myself just so you can see how far from my initial comment that you strayed.

You can literally fly to broken shore and queue for the mage tower RIGHT NOW in retail for armor cosmetics.
That has been there for years.
You are missing out on the legion mage tower? Cool. Its right there. Right now. You don’t need remix for this. Yet you choose to not do the current mage tower and qq about the legion era mage tower. Why is this? Cherry picking?

And again, wanting a cm mode in remix shows you just want welfare items. Because that is essentially what remix is.
A cm has no place in remix. So I don’t know who you are trying to fool, but it’s not me.

The fact the game is still around shows its working pretty good.
Do you have a source for “FOMO cosmetics not being great for live service MMO RPGs.”?

I doubt it. But I welcome it.

I literally posted it in the reply.

“Reviewed”. I think Dave from customer service gets about as far as “did it violate the code of conduct?“. No? OK restore it onto the next thing. I’d bet $100,000 right now. Blizzard probably didn’t read past the first two posts and they’re not gonna post anything in this thread one way or the other. They’ve made their position pretty clear on what they feel is prestigious content that they are not going to include. I mean, they went out of their way to leave Evoker out of the expansion because they didn’t have a class hall. Pretty sure they’re not gonna reverse decision on this. :woman_shrugging:

Theyre wrong. Ad hominem all you like, but that isnt going to disuade us.

138th time is the charm.
