Legion Remix Bronze Updates -- December 12

A better way to increment gear iLVs would be equally appreciated for alts. Going from iLV 740 you get bigger bumps per gear upgrade, but below 740 it’s still the same old +3 iLV per gear upgrade until you get to at least 740. iLV may not mean much for damage, but it certainly does for HP and survivability, especially on heroic world tier vs. the infernals. Just two ticks of the felfire AoE from the infernals makes my priest faceplant since she isn’t a high iLV yet.

Please please please please please PLEASE tell us that you are considering letting people QUEUE FOR LEGION ASSAULTS SOLO…

Queueing for these is a nightmare, especially if you don’t have anyone around you waiting to do it. This is my main complaint with Remix content, and has been a massive pain point for everyone. You guys should have already enabled solo queueing WEEKS ago.

Yeah that train has sailed.

I, like many, used to farm the TW weekly for 500 TW badges per alt because it was the only reasonable way to farm badges. This was even before TW badges were a warbound currency. At peak I think I had 350-400k badges and owned all the cosmetics. The highly inflated costs have now reduced that to ~100k combined with me basically not doing TW anymore because of like 7 changes in TWW that all made TW strictly worse.

I warned at the time that this was just going to benefit people like me who had alt farmed TW badges and just make life more difficult for those that come later. Introducing 300k badges in new cosmetics (again, at inflated prices) while making TW badges harder to get is just silly and it punishes people.

This is fantastic. Now I can stick with the plan of running solo on one character and still get almost everything.

Non-raid bronze sources needed a big boost to make this possible and this should do it.

So uh.. what’s the new schedule for Legion Assaults? According to Wowhead there’s one running now, except there isn’t!

Maybe I’m not understanding this one, but I’ve been logging in all night and still no assaults to be found.

They have to be doing this on purpose for an easy “we did it we made everyone happy” after not having it in the initial notes.

about time though good job

How about allowing Infinite Power transfers so we could play alts through more challenging content? IP is already in the currency tab, just open it for transfer like bronze. I think it would be fun.

Please let us buy bags of timewarped badges for Bronze. The live tuning on badges we get from dungeons is disproportionately low to the amount we need to spend on transmogs now. Since they started adding new stuff to the vendors, the price of transmog from timewarped badges has gone up 40-100 times, and we only got an increase of 5 badges per boss to 10, and a nerf for alts doing the weekly quest from 500 to 300.

There is currently in excess of 500,000 badges’ worth of stuff available on vendors. Assuming you are trying to be as efficient as possible and run as many alts as you can per TW event, you get about 255 badges on subsequent alts each week and ~555 on the first alt each week. This is in excess of 1800 timewalking dungeons, being as efficient as possible.

I’d much rather be playing Remix and earning the rewards through that than spending 30 weeks running 30 alts per week through dungeons just to get a third of what I need to buy what I want. Remix is a great semi-regular opportunity to let people earn timewarped badges from a wider variety of content.

The term is confusing. It is used in a vernacular manner to mean the Legion’s assaults on the Broken Isles proper I have seen a number of people used the same term for the portals on Argus - although, I believe are named “Legion Invasions”. They usually are in 4 zones over 3 days. They last 6 hours (or did) with a 18 hour “down time” between them.

A 375% reduction of the “down time” could mean any number of things. It’s really a bad way to state a reduction since any value greater than -100% moves into negative numbers. My best guess is what is actually meant is that the time has been reduced to something like an hour, which sounds preposterous and like a general bad time for people still trying to complete zone questing. :dracthyr_shrug:

The schedule before the hotfix was:

6 hours up for each assault, 8.5 hours of downtime for a total of 14.5 hours between each assault cycle.

A 375% reduction in the cycle, as worded by the hotfix, should occur somewhere between 3 to 4 times as quickly, or about every 4 hours with the assault itself being 1 to 1.5 hours long.

But instead of telling us exactly how long each invasion cycles, we were given a vague percentage. I’ve currently been logging in sporadically since 11pm EST last night to complete my ill designed warlock mount quest without an assault in sight. This is supposed to make things easier. It actually isn’t.

It does seem like they aren’t dropping as much after the latest patch. I’m running a fresh toon now & they are very sparse.

For anyone wondering, an assault just went up at 7:00 AM EST with a 4 hour duration.

Completely agree–the new TW economy is awful.

Why didn’t you just do this from the start? Guess you wanted to milk playtime out of people who earned these the long way. Did the same thing with dinars, always reversing your decisions to a loud minority. What this says to me, never subscribe/do to any Blizzard content until it’s almost over.

You didnt count the rep tokens if you dont have exalted with that 71 faction 71x 5k badge, + paragons if you farming the mounts. its around 800k if you want to get everything from the TW vendors…….

and people will still CRY they are poor and cant earn bronze lol

I didn’t really forget, I just don’t consider the commendations part of the problem as you can earn all those reps outside of timewalking much faster. The mogs and mounts and such are almost all unique to Timewarped badges though, the only way to earn those items - and in terms of the transmogs, we’ve moved from being able to get like five vendor transmogs from our first TW dungeon of the week (which admittedly was a bit over-generous) to needing to do something like 3-6 dungeons per transmog, depending on whether or not one of those runs is your account’s first of the event. Which might not be so bad if there weren’t more being added to vendors every time a normal timewalking week happens. The Shadowlands TW just went live for the first time and it has like 60k badges worth to collect, it’s insane when most alts only get 255 per run.
