Legion is a Masterpiece

BfA is literally legion but better

Aszuna was the easiest to get around. It was relatively flat and if you followed the story alone to get through you really covered maybe 1/3 of the entire aszuna area?

There was a lot of verticle change in every other zone and they were spread out but I enjoyed them immensely and they became better with flying.

I don’t even have Legion pathfinder part one. :frowning:

Do you have any reasons for why you enjoy it? Or, what makes it better to you? No troll Im generally interested to see what makes BfA better to you.

Yeah but it wasn’t really goodtill 7.2. Maybe the same with bfa

Oh no. That’s not fun. I’m not a huge Pathfinder fan. I have part one BfA complete except for discovering one part of drustvar. I just don’t even feel motivated to get it as to me BfA just isn’t worth it

7.2 is slated to have some sweeping changes and I hope they follow through with them. As it stands currently this expansion just isn’t doing it for me.

I found Legion to be exceptionally good. I loved the class halls and the artifact weapons. It had its problems (the broken shore quest line) but I had fun playing. Maybe the only expansion I had more fun was Wrath, but that was when I began my journey and it could be because of the noob nostalgia goggles.

Disagree with you 100%. Legion made me fall back in love with this game.

Eh. Legion started off pretty poorly in my opinion. Hopefully the same is happening with BFA.

I don’t think Legion was a “Masterpiece”. It was flashy. Big, bad artifact weapons. Legendaries raining down. We were chasing after a bad guy who we had been for quite some time. Finally got to “confront” this demon who had been trying to destroy us for a long time.

I feel like the “original” bad guys tend to make a memorable story so far. Lich King, Sargeras, even Deathwing. Legion tackled the emerald nightmare, which had been haunting us for a while now. BFA currently doesn’t have us chasing the big bad guy yet
If they do Azshara/Nzoth’s story right, I bet people will change their minds about BFA. Azshara has been a story arc people have been dying to get to. They just have to get it right

Current BFA story is garbage though. Hopefully they can turn that around somewhat.

It wasn’t a masterpeice but was a good game and one of their best exps overall.
tbh wow masterpeice era died in vanilla, it was jsut far superior than all other mmos. Now it is a regular game with ups and downs, now its really on the down side.

Artifact power, crappy legendaries, massive amounts of RNG, less zone choices to level in, forced content if you wanted to actually progress through the basic storyline, more artifact power if you wanted to play more than one spec, poor storylines (outside of a decent few), adding in snowflake NPCs that now make people think they should be that class, the amounts of complaining we heard about terrain

Many of the reasons why Legion was not this starry eyed, rainbow filled expansion in my eyes.

Legion only seemed Great because of WOD. Legion was far far far from being a masterpiece .

Yep. Could’ve just handed us our old talent trees back, but then I suppose the artifact weapons would’ve felt less ‘special’. xD;

And now, we have a Heart of Azeroth that fuels armor pieces with semi-randomized set bonus features in place of tier sets. And we still wonder why we have the thing in the first place until we get to 8.2 if I’m not mistaken. xD

I think masterpiece is a bit strong. Starcraft was a masterpiece. Warcraft III was a masterpiece. Diablo II was a masterpiece. I might argue WotLK was a masterpiece. Legion was pretty good but not a masterpiece. It lacks that certain je ne sais quois.

I’m really still romping around in Legion and I do enjoy it quite a bit - haven’t really started BfA even though I did the pre-purchase and was looking forward to it. I “twinked” my characters and I’m staying in Legion a bit longer to enjoy the game.

Way worse. I didn’t quit the game in Legion.

I enjoy grinding so I enjoyed artifact power. Once you had your best in slot legendaries you felt like a god. RNG is part of wow now, love it or hate it. I hate leveling, i like to rush to max level to start playing the game. Legion was very grinding and you were rewarded with great power if you grinded. I enjoyed it immensely.

Your face is far from a masterpiece. Far far far from that. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Unpopular opinion, but none of Blizzard’s games have great writing. Warcraft 3, Starcraft, WotLK etc
were all pretty basic in terms of writing and Legion is par for the course as silly yet enjoyable.
