Kinda silly to “preserve” those achievements when they take absolutely no effort to obtain whatsoever.
It would be like blizzard making herilooms unmoggable to show that veteran players spent a couple of gold to level new alts and keeps them feeling special somehow.
Well, I don’t think they should remove ALL of them. Plate should still wear only plate but make armor sets look different than the standard. Say they made a Noob Sabiot style armor for Death Knights. It would kind of look like a mix of cloth and leather but it would be plate and only for Death Knights.
Now in terms of removing Artifact Weapon restrictions so that Subtlety and Assassination can use each other’s daggers, then I’m for it. I can’t support Priests using Plate gear because it breaks the identity of RPG casters.
Legendaries should be transmogable. People did the work to earn them, let them use those items looks if they so choose. It’s pretty ridiculous to not allow legos to be used as transmog solely because blizzard wants to preserve the awesomeness of earning them when we can still go back and get almost every lego…give it up and let us use the items we earned please and thank you.
Agreed! As much as I would love to have Shadowmourne on my Warrior, it is my DK that I went through that pain with. Plus it also gives me a reason (besides gold) to go back and do that quest line on my Warrior/Pally.
This is only true for the Glaves and only Demon Hunters can get the appearance. Plus I feel it is easier to tie it to an achievement for a hundred TW dungeons. If they want to do Raids, we have to wait a lot longer and there is no way they want to do Sunwell, Icecrown, Firelands, Dragon Soul and Thunderking/SoO as all TW Raids. That is a discussion for another day.
I don’t remember exactly, but it wasn’t that bad. Maybe took three hours the first time. I did it around 30 times and I think was taking about an hour and half or so.
They’d have to change the current ones to do this. And they won’t, because people will flip out. They always do.
Why not? If people want them, they would.
You’re dismissing the only way we’ve been able to get legendary appearances for transmog, when it’s probably the only way you’ll see these other legendaries?
If you’d actually ask for more raids, you’d see your transmogs.
That’s the thing, we don’t know if people actually want them. I’m sure some do but it’s hard to say what the majority is. Only Blizzard knows if it is worth the time. I don’t know what tech they use, but I would assume that it is easier to tie a look to an achievement. I’m not saying I don’t want the raids, but I am not going to ask for the impossible. Moreover, the weapons aren’t tied to the raids themselves, they are quest based. Those raids just had the required pieces in them.
Depending on the group and their intelligence level. Had a lot of groups spend a lot of time on the core hounds due to not knowing how their one mechanic worked.
Same way it would unfold back than. They can’t tune for stupidity among the community with a lot of people who queued for it being so immersed on doing it like they do lfr just constantly attack it and hope for others to do something. A lot of players do not take the extra steps to stand out and takes a long time for more people to realize on how to properly do the fight or this case the adds.
If we can use them for transmogs does that not show we achieved getting them.
Now maybe they don’t want us to use them on toons that didn’t get the actual item but I don’t see how they would have a problem going in and coding the game to limit it to the toon/s that got said items.
People might say it is hard but how can it be hard when they recoded the vanilla zones in cata and changed the landscape of those zones or most recently recoding or adding code to the Mage Tower in SW or the entrance to Org with the recent addition of the portal rooms.
