Legacy of Arathor: Get an Assist With New UI Options

Excited for the 11.2 announcement to come soon.

More Alliance content just what we needed.

Single Button Assistant is not for learning, stop trying to sugarcoat it.

after WOD, it’s kind of nice to see an expansion that lanes in the other direction

I didn’t know only Alliance can use the rotation helper and one button option! :frowning_with_open_mouth:

I think you and I both know they were talking about all of the humans that come with Arathor.

I fully believe that the best training for any character created is leveling up and friends/veteran players that take new players under their wing. Not a one button system that could make new players comfortable.

One button is more for accessibility. Sure, it could be used as a jump off point for some new players.

But for me, it’ll be nice to not have to use GSE on days when my hands are bad.

I was unaware that you were a dev and planned on breaking the UI :man_shrugging:t2:

I have an injury to my right hand from childhood, an eagerness for Pizza Hut in which I accidently slammed my hand in my grandfathers car door, to which I did a good amount of nerve damage to it. Unfortunate that I am right handed as well. At times it will go dead and if I have anything in my hand it will get dropped and good luck if said object is fragile. Other times it twitches hard so my hand will literally get a one second zoomie. Interesting moments in games and I have died because of it in games.

I can fully understand and relate to needing the help…but I have worked and played for a long time to fully comprehend how bad people could abuse this. I hope not…but I do believe that having someone show you is better. Maybe just me but I do like the more personable experience.

I sympathize with your injury. I suffer from carpal tunnel in both hands and seldom feel my ring or pinky fingers on both sides. Not comparing injuries by any means but I also don’t feel like people should have to apologize for a video game being made easier to encompass more players.

Nobody is impressed with how anybody else plays and anyone who is bothered by the idea of someone with a disability being given an accommodation is a very competitive and probably horrible person. Nobody should have to care if somebody only has to press one button or 20. This is not cheating at life and destroying somebody’s world. This is relaxing in front of a computer and playing a pixelated game that’s 20+ years old.

Anyone who is bothered by a one button option for people with accessibility issues should have a harder look in the mirror. Anyone who abuses an accessibility option should also look in the mirror.

Blizzard has made a positive change to help a lot of people, and I don’t care who uses it because their gameplay has no effect on mine.

Was GSE abused?

My sister got her pinky finger caught in the heavy wooden door when my uncle shut it when she was 4, my mind is envisioning what the scenario might have looked like for you when you sustained your hand injury.
Luckily the only long term injury to her finger was cosmetic in the form of a scar, praying you one day get to experience having a fully functioning right hand again.

If you want, I can come up with a list of ‘events’ that you can employ with your hand and then blame on the nerve damage. They would be very handy to have ready to go in many situations.

  • Crying babies on airplanes.
  • Crying babies in restaurants.
  • Crying babies on forums.
  • Crying babies.

I’m sure you can think of more situations where a ‘rogue’ hand would be useful.

I can’t wait to sandbag solo shuffles/blitz with the one button rotation :dracthyr_yay_animated:

I’m super hoping that’s how my finger ends up after I stupidly used the hedge trimmers without wearing gloves. :expressionless:
