omegabrain hire this guy blizz /s

YEAH its really unforch when that happens. they need to make the penalty for leaving a shuffle more severe . something like -500 mmr and rating? or make it so they get a 1 hour deserter penalty that is account wide and you cannot queue for any pvp until the deserter is gone . thatll definitely keeps players from leaving lol

As a healer every time i’m 3-0 i start thinking on losing a round or two so the other guy doesn’t leave and i at least get something. This is how dumb the system is that it makes you afraid of wining too hard. Today i had the other healer quit when he was 0-5, i understand not giving me full rating, or even not giving me rating at all, but WHY THE F* do i not get any conquest? i won five rounds for F* sake. I don’t care if the guy loses rating, if he gets banned, if he isn’t allowed to queue for a month, i don’t care because that doesn’t change the fact that i just got scammed by blizzard. It is like you get your car stolen, the police finds the guy and sends him to prison but they keep your car.

Logged in for the first time in a month to do a shuffle match. Waited 40 mins. First round out of six took like nine minutes and then someone finally died and i immediately just left. Game sux

You’re playing a mode based on randomness. So why play it if you don’t like the randomness? Why not just go play rated 3v3? I don’t understand people complaining about a mode that is expected to be random ???

They won’t make the penalty for leaving SS too punishing because blizzard has to account for people who don’t just leave because of salt. Someone could have DC’d or had an irl emergency.

I understand, and i would say those people are a small fraction. The point they wouldn’t is why pvp is in the state its in. Like any rule, there will be innocents that suffer from it, but you still make the rule when it solves what i believe is a mass majority of the problem to have a healthier game over all.

They should add 25 conquest per win. It would solve a lot of problems and it doesn’t benefit afkers or leavers.

Harsher penalties doesn’t fix the underlining problems, and a big reason why people leave, in solo shuffle.

It would just push people out of the queues and you’d have longer queue times.

I would agree with this 100%. Still doesnt change the fact that no matter the fix, degenerate behavior has always been barely a slap on the hand by blizzard. I’ve played quite a plethora of games throughout my years of gaming since before the internet even existed and WoWs punishment system is by far and large the most lenient i have ever seen by a company. 1 bad apple ruins a barrel as the saying goes so to solve it remove the bad apple. If i had raised my kids how wow punishes players i wouldn’t have the great children i have now compared to most other parents who discipline their kids like wow does.

It’s not random.

It’s 3v3 and it’s a team setting, and it’s rated, and you obtain rewards at certain ratings.

You look at your composition, pick a target, and use cd’s appropriately.

There is a non rated skirmish you can do if you want to dick around.

Solo shuffle is meaningless. It’s not that serious.

I don’t consider “degenerate” behavior to be leaving a game in solo shuffle. It sucks. The people have their reasons but I don’t cry about it. I requeue and continue my day.

To me, degenerate behavior is when people are screaming in BGs and purposely griefing you or going out of their way to hugely impact you and your gameplay.

People leaving solo shuffle and bgs is just a person leaving out of frustrated, etc.

I left a solo shuffle very recently on my shaman. The reason? My teammate fell through the floor and was unable to participate in the match because blizzard can’t fix their glaring bugs and imbalances.

Should I be banned for not wanting to participate in a bugged arena where people are falling through the floor?

The carrot will always be more motivating than the stick and as an added bonus, won’t piss off the already dwindling playerbase.

Edit: And the penalties are already pretty high in this game because players are reporting each other over hurt feelings these days. You can get an account silence for not breaking the TOS at all but because blizzard impliments an automated system, it will still punish you. Do you really want to start implimenting harsher penalties players can manipulate because blizzard doesn’t want to hire a support staff?

You guys really don’t think your ideas through.

It’s just as meaningless as everything else in this computer game.

And there is a rated version of 3v3 if you want a specific playstyle. I dont think you will see RSS resort to that style because people enjoy the randomness. Get angry all you want but that’s just how it’s playing out. So why not go to 3v3 with a specified group if that’s what you want considering that’s where the gameplay you want is?

You don’t pvp so your opinion is irrelevant to me.

This is ignorant plain and simple. I pvp i just dont pvp rated because of all the issue. Bgs are a ton more fun, as the population that plays them VASTLY outnumbers though in rated, and seem to have the same sentiment. But go ahead, keep making ingorant statements that have 0 bearing on the issues. You can look at something objectively, look at the data and history, and make a sensible conclusion. Try it sometime.

That’s a cop out response.

But no less true.

Your statement is pretty ignorant also.
I don’t go to the bg forums and critique the bgs because I choose not to do them and don’t really mess with them. If you don’t arena I don’t think your opinion on them really matters. Mine don’t matter when it comes to bgs because I’m not a part of that scene.

i was 1856 in solo shuffle, dc’d at the beginning of the first round. lost 150 CR. im done
