Leave Classic 40-Naxx in the game if we get WotLK

#No Changes

I’m okay with this, and also want druids to keep original Vanilla and TBC cat and bear forms. The ones from WOTLK look god awful and don’t actually match your hair color.

It’s not though, all he’s asking is for them to not delete the instance portal, as they did in actual WotLK. They could add an NPC to Ony, like they have for every zone they’ve changed for the last couple of expacs. It’s not huge change at all. Removing old content from the game was never a good idea, it wasn’t popular then, and it’s not popular now. Some people enjoy playing old content, who cares, it doesn’t affect you in any way.

I enjoyed the new coat of paint on druid forms though I know of many who didn’t. A way to toggle between the two would be the best of both worlds and would please everyone but the hardcore #nochanges advocates.

I just felt like the original cat form looked more feral, plus the blue color of the night elf form was just perfect. That color cat is gone in WOTLK and in order to even get a blue cat, you have to change your hair to green, which makes zero sense.

That would be really fun, I don’t like that old content and gear is outmoded. They should have done character progression a lot differently.

Most MMO’s have old content that generally become irrelevant after new content is released. The only way that MMO’s have countered this is to constantly make changes to old content, such as level scaling, gear scaling, etc, which essentially means that the old content is now new content. I for one don’t want to run the same dungeons for however many years I play a game. I want new dungeons, new experiences. Imagine running Kara for all of TBC, then scaled for wrath, then scaled for cata. Who in their right mind would want to run Kara every week for 6 years?

Leave old content as old content. Go back and solo it if you want, but there’s no need for it old stuff to be constantly relevant. As for Old naxx, blizzard literally remade it to be relevant in WOTLK, so run it in WOTLK, or run it now if you want.

I strongly support the notion of keeping Naxx 40 in WOTLK Classic. The technology should exist to be able to do it, and it doesn’t have to make sense from a lore perspective - i.e. look at Dalaran being in multiple places at once.

Brian, Holly and Team; please consider the option. There are a number of us who would love to have the Level 60 version still available.

Naw. You’ll always have Classic Era Vanilla/TBC.

Bumping this again in support of leaving Naxx/Ony 40 in the game for WotLK. Removing content from the game is never a good thing - no matter how trivial it may be, people enjoy running it for various reasons.

  • New/returning players who have not seen the content

  • People still farming for loot that the RNG gods have withheld.

  • People who enjoy running their lowbies through to get badass gear while they’re leveling (I personally fall in this category)

  • Soloing challenge (most 60 raids were easy, but I think Naxx 40 would have some interesting hurdles to overcome)

The list goes on and on. There really isn’t a point in keeping it “exclusive” - it’s already that way on retail. The whole point of classic is so people can re-experience content or see it for the first time, it’s pretty lame to gatekeep it for a second time.

And to the comments of “just play SoM” - most of us who still play (particularly on classic) are adults now and have many other obligations that take up a large part of the day. It’s not realistic (or healthy, for that matter) to expect someone to play 3 different games (retail, classic, SoM) just to be able to see all the content.

TLDR; Leave 'em in, and let people enjoy the game as they see fit. Your MAUs will thank you.

I want them to leave it in the game just to screw with the people who bought Atiesh shards at 1500g each.

I can think of one place that naxx 40 will be there forever and you dont even have to change anything about that place to have it there.

Era and its handful of residents will welcome you with open arms

thousands of people do naxx weekly because they know it will be removed soon. Stop being lazy and actually join the groups. No point keeping it for another reason but you being too lazy to farm it before wrath in the first place.

There are a few guilds on Era running naxx.

Agreed. Removing content is never a good idea.

There’s no reason to not include it, other than ones sense of exclusivity.

I agree they should be kept in, one of the best aspects of WoW is being able to go back and solo old content, and Wrath is really the first expansion you can accomplish some of that in classic raids. I remember farming up a Thunderfury on my warlock during Wrath the first time around because I thought it would be funny, and it is to this day one of my favorite wow memories to have accomplished.

They are being left in the game: Classic Era. You are the one that chose to leave it.

Can’t do it on a level 80 toon.
