Lead Game Director said "No"

There are other ways to fix problems with faction imbalance besides giving Alliance a playable Horde race

Wouldn’t know don’t play hordes, I hate em and Ion and Blizzard are destroying a game of two factions at war……. I’m so over it now not buying SL and most won’t atm… The subs they’re getting a new ones and they don’t hang around for long don’t have the attention span to stay… GL.

I could care less about high elves but there have been a bunch of examples of features that would never happen but eventually it comes true. Those same features had people like you thinking they have the one reason of many on why something wouldn’t happen. I would love to go back and see what people think after proven wrong. The wall of “no” especially for Classic.

Huh… Horde has been fighting the Alliance in this franchise since 1994 so yeah it’s a good thing you’re leaving because obviously this game isn’t for you.

I have many chars on both factions and could care less about the faction war.

If you play both factions it really isn’t an issue because you can just make a blood elf.

If you refuse to play the other faction, then yes you’re refusing aspects of the game that are available to you.

He didn’t say “no” though.

He said “So, umm, basically Blood Elves kind of are High Elves, with a slightly different eye color and a different backstory in terms of their relationship with magic and the Sunwell. But if what you want to be is a fair skinned, light blonde haired, tall majestic elf, that is a Blood Elf. And giving that race directly to the Alliance I think would have blurred a lot of lines between the two factions, but also there isn’t a clear example of who or what High Elves are as a larger group in Azeroth.”

Was that the same guy who said “No” to account wide essences too?

Believe me people are leaving in droves and those Chinese farmers selling gold will leave when there is no one to sell too… GL with you empty shell of a game… IGNORANCE IS BLISS, I say.

Uh huh. I’m sure you know that for a fact.

Huh… Blizzard has been selling tokens since 2014 or 2015, which really hit the gold farmers hard.

I’ll take your word on the "ignorance is bliss " thing since you seem to be really ignorant when it comes to WoW.

You, give me High Elves for Alliance! Blue eyes!

Ignorance is bliss just have a look this game is a shambles and people will not buy SL with the same crap but different day… Each to their own gl I say.

I think that he truly believes that if he says something, other people are supposed to pay attention and/or obey him.

The Horde has had high elves since TBC.

  • But we only had ONE orc, which was NOT Mag’har orcs (While we have two “High Elf” types, one on each faction, which simply don’t meet certain people’s overly picky criteria for being “High Elves”, possibly actually called “High Elf.”)

  • But we didn’t ALREADY have something like Classic Wow, with people wanting a certain specific “Classic Wow” which met their personal criteria for being “Classic Wow.”

  • But we didn’t ALREADY have Flying in Warlords of Draenor, then people wanting a different flying which was nearly the same.

It does more when it is something we basically already have, which a lot of players have said they don’t need MORE of.

At this point getting another one which is nearly the same, just so it could be called “High Elf”, would be like getting a third Draenei just so it could be red and be named Eredar. They are giving Blood Elves a blue eye option, so you can RP whatever the heck you want; All they’d have to do with Draenei is give both a red skin tone.

“Wildhammer” options, in SL, are the way to do it right. It doesn’t waste another race slot for a cosmetic option.

You’re here, posting about it, aren’t you?

Case in point.

That’s what they said about classic as well. How did that “wall of no” pan out?

Yeah and all these multiboxer’s are Chinese they get paid as a job to do it… It reported they do… Hence all those accounts will go too. You think the Chinese buy tokens when they buy from their own?

They’ve changed their minds plenty of times before. Not to mention the numerous contradictions throughout the years.

People on the forums saying something isn’t going to or shouldn’t happen (which they do for literally everything) means nothing. It doesn’t matter how long their list of reasoning is. Someone just said they won’t extend the exp bonus because reasons. 5 minutes later Blizzard went ahead and did it anyway.

I hate this stupid “complaining about complaining” response. Clearly there’s a difference between this thread and a normal high elf thread.
