Lazy players!

Okay. So communication doesn’t work for you, and mind-reading is it.

RareTrackerMaw (RTMW)

RareTrackerMaw (RTMW) is an addon that allows users to track and share rare spawn timers in the Maw.

RareScanner

Shows rares on the map, plays a sound if a rare is in range, displays loot you have not collected, and has a model of the rare pop up.

HandyNotes: Shadowlands

Puts the location of all rares and treasures on your map and tells you how to get to them.

And not a single one of them tells you what the next rare is to spawn and when, which is what they were asking about in response to someone saying to get the addon that does that (which as far as I know, doesn’t exist, the closest is RareTracker which at least keeps track of time since last kill).

My own pet peeve is please for the love of Chromie (old lore) turn off your pet taunt. There are a lot of rares that need to be kited.

Thanks! I haven’t had an issue getting to rares on my server, because people usually wait for others. But that’s awesome for others and I love when people take a moment to share helpful info. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Also: I live by Handy Notes SL. Which is sad that I have to live by an addon and Wowhead just.to figure out the zone. LOL

RTMW is supposed to.

RareTrackerMaw uses a hidden chat channel to communicate with other clients located in the same shard, such that it can always provide the most up-to-date rare spawn timers.

Admittedly its one I’ve never used before but might try tonight.

No, that channel is used to sync the last time all rares were killed, if any are currently active, and what their HP percentage is. Unfortunately not a lot of people use Raretracker, and if you shard hop frequently, you’ll most of the time just have a blank slate of timers. It doesn’t say “hey this rare is about to spawn in 5 minutes, head there,” no addon does.

If you are not shard hoping (not sure why you would outside of the weekly world boss) you can use it to estimate when it will spawn. Many of the ones that don’t show on the map are on a very short spawn timer. Mother Phestis for instance is on a 15-30 min timer as is the rare across the road from her. When it shows 15 min have elapsed since the last kill head over there and gather treasures and patrol for other rares.

It might take a couple of days to figure out when rares spawn but its at least a start.

But again I really have no need of it I log in at 5 am and solo all the rares for the next 3 hours. Occasionally I end up with a dps or two that follows me around and helps out. My biggest problem is that rares take forever to kill.

Either way it should be much easier in a couple of weeks with flying.

I haven’t really had a big reason to do so since 9.2 launched, as I mostly go to the rare I want to kill, if it’s not up, I find a group in LFG tool and join it (as I play during prime time, so never really an issue finding a group). But near the end of 9.1.5 if I wanted to kill all the rares in Korthia for example on an alt, I’d shard hop (join any group in the maw (Mor’geth was an easy one for example, but so was Containing the Helsworn and other quests that people were always looking for people)) to lower the time to kill all the rares down from 2-3 hours to under 1 hour. Yeah it was a pain in the butt to do, but it worked very effectively.

Yeah not waiting for people ‘across the zone’ to get there… In the general area sure. All he way on the other side… better hope that teleporter thingie can get you there quick.
