Yeah, they did. This is a low effort expansion, it’s not really a game, it’s mostly a subscription retention plan with content being drop fed at the rate of very few minutes per weeks of gating.
Anyone defending this type of time gated design and low amount of content needs to seriously re-evaluate their priorities. Blizzard dropped the ball and they need calling out on it.
This is Broken Shore 2.0, except it’s not just a patch, it’s a whole expansion.

Then cancel your sub and leave. Blizzard doesn’t care one single bit about any type of feedback unless they’re losing money. By staying subbed you’re saying “hey I’m ok with all this”.

I’m not like most people here I wasn’t a die-hard WoW player back in the day. I played EQ. I only played a little bit of Cata (druid to 50 something) and BFA (got this guy to 1-120 and then stopped). So I signed back up for SL thinking there would be this big world filled with players from 50-60 doing some content that was a day in day out type of deal.
I was wrong. I did not expect WoW to be this bad truth be told. I did not know that the endgame was literally a spam fest of abilities, dancing around circles and moving towards your team. It’s just not the game for me.
Here I was expecting something a bit slower where combat was precise and smooth. Instead I get Red-Bull induced dungeons, a non-existent leveling experience, and virtually nothing that I want to do at 60. Nothing feels important because they sped the game up so much that essentially the only real content is M+, PvP, and raiding. So in my opinion this is a crappy MMORPG. Classic has a much better feel to it. It takes longer to level, and things seem more valuable because it’s harder and slower to obtain and you’re not rushing at a billion miles an hour.
Honey, I played through WoD without unsubscribbing. I’m going to stay right here until Blizzard fixes this mess. I’m not going to kiss their 
and call it Gourmet though.

All expansions are cash grabs Forest. In my opinion this expansion was designed to cater to a very specific group of players. Unfortunately I’m not in that group of players.

You know you can enjoy some parts of the game while not enjoying the expansion’s content right ?
Raiding, M+ and PvP are still there to support this failure of an expansion. Every bit of Shadowlands specific content is lazy, gated, and then once the gates are crossed, RNG’ed to hell and back. I’m going to call them out on it, and yes I’m going to keep playing, even if that makes you mad.
You told the OP he didn’t get to have an opinion because he did no content. When I told you to sit down, you went straight to “well why not unsub”, the laziest attempt at running defense for Blizzard.
You’re awfully combative for someone who’s not kissing the ring. In fact, you seem to have your lips firmly attached to it.
Look, it’s 2020, you don’t need to swear fealty to Corpos just yet. We’re not in 2077 Night City.

How little you know about that game is funny. You mean the game that flipped between being a full-loot sandbox survival MMO to…not being that anymore? The same game where they fired the original creative director and are now flailing to find a new direction like a fish out of water? How many delays are we at now??
The game clearly has a full loot pvp foundation with half-a$$ pve elements thrown over it. Yet it does both aspects terribly.
Give me a break.
Also, Ashes of creation will be in development for at least another 2 years. GL with that. Next Alpha isn’t until April. ALPHA.
The animations are abysmal and the world looks bleh at best. The typical trope of a game.

The expansion is a mess. It’s a hot mess. It’s like WoD levels of bad content wise.
I’m angry because I play WoW and I’ve played WoW for years. Anyone who’s a true fan of the game is angry when it’s in a bad state.
That’s should not be surprising.
