Layering is destroying the economy

Trust me, it takes nothing special to refute your freshman-level intelligence and basic ad hominem attacks.

Look at this guy, still trying 24 hours later. Yawn

Itā€™s funny, most people get better with practice. However, your responses are still as bland today as they were yesterday.

Please donā€™t try to tell those of us who have had played multiple server launches that this is how it is when a server is new. It isnā€™t.

So says Blizzard. Remember when they said flying would come at a later patch? And then they said flying was being removed? And then they did something completely different? Yeahā€¦ Blizzard has a reputation for not keeping their word so I wouldnā€™t bring up anything they say to defend this garbage if I were you.

And when are they releasing phase 2 anyway? They havenā€™t said. Itā€™s a secret. BFA players might not mind being strung along, like they are on their stupid pathfinding phases, but some of us left all those years ago because we were sick of Blizzardā€™s lack of transparency and dishonestly.

We donā€™t know if layering is ever going away. The only thing we know for sure is that itā€™s here and it sucks.

I just came back to WoW because of classic after not playing since WoD and i was really enjoying myself until i heard about this layer stuff. Oh boy i should have done my research before i gave Blizzard my money, but i guess i had a little faith left that they would finally get something right after so many blunders.

I feel so pissed and disgusted by all those people abusing a mechanic that Blizzard no doubt knew would be abused and didnā€™t care.

Changing layers to forever farm a spot isnā€™t Classic, asking for someone to invite you out of your layer to avoid getting ganked by that one Rogue on a PvP server isnā€™t Classic. The world doesnā€™t feel alive. The economy will suffer. Soon enough everyone will stop using the AH and just sell everything to NPCs. Is that the lived-in MMORPG that you hyped up it would be again? Iā€™m not feeling it.

Iā€™m out and at this point only fresh servers with no layers could make me come back, because we all know punishing the people layering would probably not be doable and it would take a lot of time, and i doubt Blizzard would punish all the streamers giving the game free publicity.

Do you not understand economics?

The servers are massive. Thereā€™s tons of players flooding the economy with stuff theyā€™re gathering. It drives down the prices.

Layering abusers are only hurting themselves because the mass availability of materials drives down the price. It just means itā€™s a buyers market, which is good for leveling your professions.

Stop using rinky dink private servers for your litmus test. They were not, or ever a predictor on how Classic will be.

Increased supply which keeps the prices low and price fixers claim the economy is broken because they canā€™t control the market.

I think you missed the jokeā€¦

I caught it, just chose not to respond. Your personal life, real or imagined or wished for, is none of my concern.

its true. no point of even farming mats cuz i go on auction house and get it way cheaper

Umā€¦ yes. Thatā€™s kindaā€™ the point. This game was designed around a server holding about 3.5k players, not 75k +

Yes, the greens at the lvl 30-40 range sell for almost a gold a piece.

Thatā€™s what happens when supply is artificially driven up because of layering.

Or, maybe greens from chests are being vendored at a ridiculous rate that is made possible only by layering. j/s

What? What does that have to do with the economy?

Warehousing is the best thing anyone could do right now. If you choose not to, youā€™re impatient and it costs you.

Jokes on you bubba. You keep warehousing when the supply will continue to be artificially massive because of the failed layering.

Everyone is leveling at the same time in the same areas, gilligan. Of course the supply will be high. As people spread, farming intensity goes down, and players leave, supply will fall you will be able to corner markets.

Nah, Iā€™ve been on a couple fresh server launches in the last 2 years and even when everyone is out leveling, itā€™s never like this. Anyone thatā€™s played private servers knows this is completely @#$!ed
