#LayerArugal - Please

Every time they remove layering it’s the same issue.

I’ve no idea why they thought it would be good time to do it a few weeks after the AQ patch lol.

Don’t play retail so unsub is the only option till layering is back due to working I won’t be home early enough to queue up just to raid

GGs Blizz

Had your guild not been annoying on these forums I would have been inclined to agree with you… but no I support no layers at this point. You can always transfer off if you don’t like the queue times.

How is transferring off if you want, a rational argument? Just completely ignore all the work you’ve done with the guild and with the community? The biggest selling point of vanilla.

Just because an option exists doesn’t make it the best option. Problem we have is we all expect blizzard to bring back layers AGAIN. Its this back and forwards all the time that’s so damn frustrating.

I would not expect them to bring back layering again. They seem to not like it for whatever reason. It is not Blizzards problem honestly. The community has created this issue. Players should be allowed to create a character on any server they want (full ones come with warnings) and people should be able to pay to transfer to any server they want (again warnings). I know this stinks for the players that are already there BUT they knew it was full since the beginning. You all had a chance to reroll early on somewhere else. Blizzard gave TONS of posts about which servers were going to have massive queues once layering was removed. Everyone just ignored said warnings and decided to stay. Now a year in you do not want to abandon what you have but also want the problem you knew was an issue to be fixed by Blizzard. They gave layering to people far too long and now it is time for players to fix the problem they created and ignored all this time.

It’s hilarious to me that blizzard continues to listen to a minority of the player base that don’t want layers. Why are they allowing a minority of angry people decide what’s best for the game?

Nearly anyone with a brain is pro layers. The benefits of layers far out weighs the negatives. Stop listening to idiots blizzard. The ‘no changers’, ‘no layers’, people are the second worst thing that happened to classic. The first is that blizzard listened to them.

the issue is, for those that dont play on oceanic.

On day 1 we had 2 servers, 1 pvp, 1 pve.
3 weeks in we got a 2nd pvp server.
1 month after that we got a 3rd pvp server.

the issue was blizzard understimating the playerbase, and then telling people who had already hit max started raiding, and built a community to just drop it, and make a new community on the new server OR, pay the xfer there character to a new server, and find a new community.

Classic wow was supposed to rebuild the nolstagia, and the Community on your server,

sitting in 6 hours long ques, because blizzard stuffed up at the start and bottled everyone is not a smart idea.

like im happy if we have 3 dead servers and one lively server with 15 hour ques on Arugal, as that is where it is headed,

lots of guilds over the past 12-18 hours have xferred to argual as we are the only Oceanic server with Aq40 currently open.
the guilds that have left slowed down this process on other realms.

over the space of 2 hours, 4:30pm, on a Saturday, ques had just started, by 6:30pm they were over 1400 person ques, by 7:30pm the ques were over a 4 hour wait at 2000, on a saturday night.

Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday are our raid days in OCE for a majority of guilds.
those who work steady 38 hour weeks wont be able to play on the weekdays,
blizzard has more or less with this move, told their oceanic playerbase, we do not care about your sub, we only care about trying to sure up our income with Server xfers, and Sub counts,
but if they keep this up they will lose more from the Oceanic Playerbase than they have gained by doing something this idiotic.

You disagree, because one guild is quite upset layers are removed and want to express our concern with them being turned off?

This is not a community based issue, as this point we’ve played more WITH layers than WITHOUT now. May as well keep them on for the rest of this. Mate we have 3 hours. THREE HOUR QUEUES. the first day this was turned off. Blizzard advised they had data that it was OK to turn off, they’re wrong and should just put it back on.

spamming the forums and spewing hatred at blizzard and anyone that disagrees with you goes beyond “expressing concerns”. it doesnt help you case. consolidating your feedback, emphasis on feedback, so not just vague insults, is how you improve your situation.

Woah bro, I’m not spewing any hatred bro. And people are welcome to disagree man. But this is the third time they’ve been taken off our server and it’s been instant 2+ hour queues at peak times. Then it’s guilds struggling to get on for raids until people give up and quit.

It’s a never ending cycle that I don’t really want to be apart of again and if Blizzard can do a statement if they keep them off indefinitely or not so I can just stop dealing with this cycle would be great.

members from your guild have been.

clearly blizzard doesnt want layers on the realms, and a lot of players also do not want layers for that matter. at the first inclination that they can remove them, they will.

At first I thought I was in retail forum.

Hey, guess what transfer or you can go to a place that supports layers.

I can see many reasons they are removing layering.

Ppl from your server farm layers and transfer to another server.

lol wtf is Blizzard thinking with this???

It’s crazy to me how people will make excuses for Blizzard like this. They decide the server caps. They decide if transfers are open. They decide if layers stay. And somehow it’s not their fault when it’s a clown fiesta?

Layers are exclusive to Classic WoW. What are you even saying???

Bring back layers to Arugal - as others have said this server has survived BECAUSE of the layers, and the fact that we’ve spent MORE time with them than without proves that you can have a healthy server with them.

This will destroy the economy and raiding scene.

GG Bliz

how on earth did they think that removing layers a week after a new raid tier opens is a good idea

I’m not asking to be act like that, in fact, I’ve asked them not too, I’m sorry one of them have.

If that’s the case, can they just make a statement. Advise they’re not coming back and i’ll make a choice based on that. Issue is, this is the third time now. high chance Layers will be back bro.

Dear Blizzard, removing layers is a bit like the groundhog day. Every time you remove them you end up needing to reinstate them to rectify 3+ hour queues. Nothing has changed this time. There are now massive queues and will continue to be massive queues. Please for once listen to your people and reinstate layers. It makes absolutely no sense to remove them, especially when the gates have open for AQ 40. This theory of “Vanilla never had layers”, just doesn’t cut the mustard as Vanilla servers did not have the massive populations servers have today. Not to mention at the current point of time, Vanilla did not have the advanced patch and talents.

its not a simple ‘yes or no’. blizzard has made their stance abduantly clear… they do not want layers unless it leads to excessive queues.

it is likely that they will bring back layering if the queues reach a few hours, but once again, it will be temporary and there will come a day when they try to remove them again, because they DO NOT want layers.

Or they’ll just sell a few thousand more character transfers.
