Blizzard has aptly named this event correctly, Turbo- Boost.
This season will go down once again as a meme season just like season 2.
Mythic raiders: How that is our loot no one else allowed unless you wanna buy it then we ok with it.
Turbo Boost encourages RMT and thereby Blizzard is endorsing the RMT sales boosters by keeping this system as is.
player buys wow token with real money.
player converts wow token into gold.
player contacts sales booster
player pays sales booster and may or may not get the run they paid for.
now HOF guilds sale 3 slots at a minimum per raid and do multiple per week. so each week they are boosting, conservatively, at a minimum of 9 players per week. at say 16 weeks remaining in season that is around 144 players boosted by a single guild now multiply this by a minimum of 200, which is the HOF cutoff, is 28800 boosted at a minimum. The cost of each sales run varies from 3.5 million gold to upwards of over 10 million gold.
Yet, it is ok for the mythic raid items to be locked behind a boss kill unless you can pay for it. Mythic raiders dont need it.
Thank you blizzard for clarifying your stance on RMT boosting in game by not only encouraging it but endorsing it by doing this system once again.
This is the part that is really dumb. It’s the END of the expansion. We are all going to be getting newer/better/faster/stronger gear as soon as Midnight drops. It’s ridiculous to stop the fun at this point in time.
Seeing as for Mythic Raid items you have 3 shots at the item if you kill 6 of 8 in a week, AND the drops off the boss themselves (which drop often) it’s VERY SIGNIFICANTLY easier to get Mythic Raid items then specific M+ items on Myth track.
Also the Raid loot Table is smaller than the entire M+ loot table for the great vault.
The cost of a mythic raid carry is so high as to make it so that the people who can afford to actually get them are extraordinary few and don’t really affect anyone. I’m fine that a few dozen people spent thousands of dollars for loot they won’t actually use. If anything, I feel sorry for people like that.
Really don’t understand the complaints about LFR not being included. Would much rather do M0 than LFR and groups will be just as easy to find as 11 Delves on a Tuesday with people wanting Gilded crests. I mean jeez work just a little for BiS gear.
That’s a fair opinion tbh, especially since to even Blizzard themselves in most cases hero-track gear doesn’t really ‘matter’ in terms of acquisition.
The ‘initial’ blue post was edited after the event began. It made no mention of LFR when the post first went live. Again, they just left it as it was and updated their post accordingly instead of correcting the unintended behavior after players had already engaged with the event.
