Last week I wanted to do a normal run on an alt. It took 20 minutes to fill, and an hour and a half to complete the raid after that.

The time gating of stuff is getting really really annoying. The development team cannot be more out of touch with what people who actually do content really want.

While this may be, it doesn’t take into account how long it can take to actually find a group. If you’re a non-meta dps spec at medium ilvl, good luck. There will likely be dozens of near max ilvl meta spec players requesting to join. You have no way of standing out.
And after you waste X time standing around looking to join a group, completing it without being kicked could be a challenge. If you don’t know mechanics or the most common strat, and ask for an explanation, good luck. Especially this far into a season where everyone is expected to be a pro at the game.
Being able to just join a queue system for LFR and continue to play the game while I wait is more enticing.

People are in this thread asking for myth gear for doing LFR. That, by definition, is asking for gear to be handed to them.
The same amount of time to complete one mythic plus dungeon. Thats a big waste of time for most people with limited play time.
People don’t want to sit around and twiddle their thumbs in LFG.
Nobody asked for Mythic gear in LFR lol

Launch a patch with all the content first off like common. But lets review:
-crest cap and valor stone transfer 2 weeks after???..there is no point in increasing the ilvl on items then…like what???
-Okay, that’s lame and dumb but I can play legion right?..OH wait that’s time gating also and I have to wait for releases.

Wrong. LFR players were able to get the Hero track last season during Turbo Boost with Cartel Chips.
Barely. We get more trinkets. Because we don’t get enough of those already. And only repeatable Crests. So no extra Gilded like we did last time.

For what it’s worth, LFR wasn’t intended to count last season either. Even the quests that were handed out specified that the boss kills had to be on normal or higher, but for whatever reason LFR granted credit anyway. I can’t remember if they ever modified the quest text since I know LFR continued to count for the remainder of the season, but it seems it was initially unintentional.
As another observation, it looks like I was right on the money about the removal of the crest cap being delayed. The 7th was too soon for that compared to S1 and S2. The cap will be 990 when it’s lifted, which is about on par with the first two seasons.
I’ve been trying to say this. It’s obvious that raiding is still the only 1 end game pillar lmao.
Anyway, let people clutch on to a dead game and let them go “Noooooooooo!!!” every time you point out how many things are 15 years out of date in this game.

Well, I was already on the fence about Lemix and this was kind of the one thing that was keeping me here otherwise. Alright, looks like I’ll be taking that extended break from WoW after all if you guys are seriously removing LFR from the equation this time around.

Why does devs keep doing this? They take a system that works fine and makes it worse and alters it in a way no one asked for! This whole expansion devs have been trying to get solo players to give mythic dungeons a try and now they are hoping people will try groupfinder by making dinars only normal or higher.
I don’t play when my guild is on and when I am I have a small window when I can play. Delves and lfr raids work fine for that reason. I don’t have to worry about sitting around hoping to get into a group. Just to be declined or the group closes.

This is becoming a trend. They do something one time that works and is tolerated. Plauers give suggestions to make it better. They ignore it make it worse then scrap any future versions cuz players hate it. Happened with fated, then plunderstorm, now remix and turbo boost. Im still waiting on my heroic raid piece from plunderstorm 2.0

Normal to heroic is a small jump in difficulty. Heroic to mythic is massive jump in difficulty. Makes sense that mythic raid loot requires mythic raid kills.
