Soon as I can, I’m getting all of those dragonriding runes. That’s going to be priority number one, long before I even do the main story I think. It was fun on beta and I’m excited to perfect my gathering on live.
That said, it launches while I’m working so I probably won’t do much until the afternoon. I will never take the first day of launch off from work, it always leads to heartbreak.
I’m not new to WoW I’ve played since original Vanilla, I don’t recall a huge problem playing WoD. That might have been the one where I couldn’t play the first day but I was definitely not down a week.
BESIDES…if if my memory is fuzzy on WoD – you are talking about a release that was 8 years ago, that’s 4 expansions since.
Again, my post wasn’t made up – it was truthful for many expansions its been a smooth release.
Well, lunch was an unmigrated trainwreck.
Yeah, and things have improved greatly.
My only reply to you is “ok” because I don’t know what else to say.
So ok…a not so great launch in 2014 is sufficent case for concern with a 2022 launch, where all the ones in between were fine.
Folks that follow that logic are tough cookies – to hold that much grudge. Wonder how they are with friends and family that made a mistake a decade ago.
Reminds me of the opening of Tanaan Jungle questline in WoD, where everybody had to click an item to climb to the upper level when recruiting their shipwright. So many complaints that it was mobbed and you couldn’t click it.
And then somebody posted a screenshot taken on Wyrmrest Accord, where players were neatly lined up and waiting their turn.
I’ll buy it eventually, but I still don’t know if I’ll be buying DF for launch. I received Beta access (which I am very appreciate of) - and I’m enjoying what I see - but I don’t know.
Maybe I’ll pick it up at Christmas if it goes on sale.
I work from home so 100% I’ll be logging in and starting the quests. If I can’t log in I’ll be disappointed but understand new expansions come with growing pains. So instead I’ll be reading the forums and all the tear filled posts with their sob stories and how they demand a refund.
I don’t plan anything that far ahead.
I haven’t bought DF
And if I have work at launch, I definitely won’t be taking it off for a game of all things.
Every launch day gives us the “I took my last day of PTO for this, I can’t log in” posts. People don’t learn.
I’ll likely try to play in the evening when I’m free, but may have to wait for the next day.
What I always do is play the next morning. I’m not in a rush.
