I see a queue in retail every time new content came out or when new expansion hit. But I played pretty much on the same server for 15 years so it grew in popularity and achieved a high/full rating.
In classic I play on a medium pop normal, high during peek and low at night. So doesn’t affect me in the slightest, SLIGHTEST bit now
Pretty sure there were queues on BfA launch.
There was on mine, hell I remember everyone making a macro to do target and engage the starting quest giver too just do you can start it easily instead of trying to click on them with hundreds of people around you

There were queues at BfA for launch on some servers too.
Retail has 241 servers and Classic has 36 as well.
I’m enjoying classic but this us vs. them attitude is ridiculous.

Legion had them for a week or so after launch. WoD was so unstable for like a month it didn’t have the chance to have queues
Could have possibly happened more recently, but the last queue I remember in retail wow was during Cataclysm.
Sharding fixes the vast majority of the issues with queues in retail that classic launch had. BFA had over 3 million copies sold on launch and yes there were some servers that blew out but most servers were fine coz of sharding tech and the fact that retail has about 200 servers i think where classic has several dozens.
Btw ive hit lvl 31 in classic… im fairly sure once the majority of ppl get into the mid 20s u will see drop-offs in population and queue times, especially once they have to go into contested zones… it gets brutally time consuming … like u hit a wall…

Legion definitely had queue times. Classic has way less servers. BTW, why are you even thinking about retail? Let it go bro. lol
The last 3 expansion launches,WOD and Legion especially.
I haven’t seen a queue since WoD launch.
That makes the most sense… I’ve heard a lot of people mention WoD queues but even though I resubbed to WoW on the WoD launch I actually don’t recall any queues at all, and I was on Stormrage at the time.
Bfa had like a 2 minute queue what are you on about? lol
Diablo 3, but it wasn’t even WoW…
BFA the evening Dazar’alor or however it is spelled dropped. During prime time, 6 min queue on a full server.
I played Vanilla --> WotLK almost every day. Then I played each new xpac on release week, played each for a couple months. Except for BFA. Never tried that one.
I hit queues on Vanilla, TBC, & WotLK. And now, Classic

You don’t even understand the server limit regarding population is a design choice.
But feel free to keep trolling.
Legion.
WoD was crazy, they opened the portals early, a few dozen people made it through then every zone except Wod and everybody else got dumped into a queue.
As for classic, I have never seen a queue, I was not foolish enough to name reserve on a full server.
Dude WoD had a terrible launch week. I remember waiting for 8 hour queues play. Luckily it got resolved after about a week. Blizzard claimed that they were getting ddossed
this is a fail…there were ques for bfa launch
