Last boss in mists of tirna scithe!

How do i tank the last boss ?
I am a prot paladin.
I interrupt all the casts in a blink of an eye.
Use my ranged abilities and taunt to aggro the adds. Sometimes even move the boss to reach them.
But somehow this is the boss where the dps die A LOT, like 2 of them die often, i dont remember one run when none of them die.

Ppl say this is the easiest dg, but what is happening that the dps die so much in this boss.

dps have a bad habit on this fight of running off to the middle of nowhere for acid swirls, which puts them out of range of the healer. i don’t know why, but they can’t grasp the concept of just taking a couple of steps.

as tank, all you really need to do is grab adds, help with interrupts (which you should not be the only one responsible for), and make sure you’re not tanking the boss in a place where people can’t dodge stuff. if dps are dying because they’re running across the map to avoid a swirl they could have taken 2 steps to dodge, that’s 100% their fault.

the less movement the better on this fight.

Yeah I’m always surprised at how many people don’t understand the swirly mechanic, it mimics your movement, so if you move 10 paces left, the next set of swirlies are going to do that, the best way as the above poster mentioned is not to move that much.

The first set of adds have an open Aggro table, meaning they will attack whoever hits or taunts them, the adds after that will target a player. It is then there responsibility to either use an aggro dump (feign, vanish, invis ect) in order to replicate the open aggro table from the first wave OR to bring the adds TO YOU. When the swirls spawn, your movement is recorded, and the next set will copy the pattern in which you used to dodge the previous swirls, so the more they move during the spawning of the swirls, the more chaotic the next set will be for everyone. You are handling your responsibilities, but there is only
So much you can do. DPS needs to move less, bring adds to you, and stay in range of the healer. Since you play pally you can also BOP a DPS who does not have an aggro dump to allow them to safely stand on you with the adds without taking damage as you guys mow them down. Also, when the adds die they leave a puddle on the ground, that’s when you should reposition the boss a bit, otherwise try not to move too much. Good luck!
