It’s so bad I just don’t even want to play. If it’s this bad right now imagine how bad it will be next week once the focus is entirely on Suramar. I’d transfer to a dead server or something but I really dont want to pay the fees.
Glad to know it’s not just me. Sad to know it’s not just me.
A week later and still unplayable due to lag in Suramar.
This is why I only do Suramar things during off-peak hours.
The game always displays 35-37ms, but Suramar almost always feels like 500-10000+ (half a second to 10 second delay on everything). Every other zone is fine except for when there are a lot of people on your layer fighting the world boss.
This problem has existed for years and it can happen in any zone but seems to occur when there are a ton of layers in a specific zone. In the past I resolved this issue by joining a group on a different datacenter / playing a character on one.
Blasted Lands (Kazzak world boss) had the same problem during the Anniversary event. If I was on a Chicago datacenter layer (~35 ping and closest to me physically) I would get the same unplayable lag that Suramar gets. But if I joined a LA datacenter layer (~80 ping, further physical distance from me) it was completely normal.
It’s pretty obvious that Blizzard not only doesn’t test their own game, but still only has one unpaid intern maintaining it. Surely this would have been fixed years ago if there was a single person left with just an ounce of competency.
I was doing questing in Suramar on live servers and good lord it’s bad.
It took 3 seconds for each piece of loot in the loot window to fall in my bags, and same amount of time to sell to npcs.
There’s a perpetual 3 second delay for everything on my end. Remix side is perfectly fine.
Mostly impossible to complete achvs and the like in the zone. But hey, who cares. I’m sure the release of the new phase tomorrow will fix the lag, right?
9 people in the zone rn and still unplayable lag. Ridiculous.
thats probably why there are only 9 people ![]()
