Hey Blizz, I am pretty sure this is not what the “Fail fast, fail often” development model means….

My guild are trying KT and we noticed that we couldn’t remove MC with the Dagger if the Mini Bosses were still alive, is that intended functionality?
When you are testing a fix to a certain bug, the responsibility of said tester is to do a full regression test to make sure nothing broke with the entire encounter.
This is testing 101 for all companies and products, not just the gaming industry.
Sure, but the options arent just “bug or not bug” its “Less bugs, but 3-4 weeks of delayed content or more bugs, but get content now”. Then again I think I am getting my 15 dollars worth every month so it doesn’t bother me. Other people obviously disagree.
I personally am content with getting content that has mostly been fine for my purposes without having more weeks of draught. We arent going to be doing kael until Monday anyway so we got two more weeks of content for no real loses. Vashj isnt until next week at the earliest.
I am curious what % of the player base is actually on these bosses to the point where it matters.
The PTR was out for two months and this bug was reported I believe in the first couple weeks. At that point, it’s on them to fix this issue before release. This is a major bug if a Boss evade bugs and resets the encounter.
If a company can’t fix this type of bug in 2-3 months, then they are clearly not worried about their product or the consumers using their product. I’m glad your content, but me and many others are disheartened by the lack of effort for TBC.
Ogrilla, Skyguard, KT, Vashj, Brewfest all had game halting bugs on release. That is inexcusable for any company to release a product with this many glaring issues.
You guys are still weeping over this?
I’m not commenting on the evasion bug. I’m commenting on the entirety of the event/raid, which has numerous instances of poor coding all of which should have been vetted before release or detailed in the patch notes. These are simply issues that were not tested, then sold to customers paying a monthly premium.
If the game developers played a single iteration after testing the evasion bug, this would have been determined. It obviously was not, and they did not test the encounter they were patching a known bug on. It’s objectively subpar product provision.
The other issues in the game don’t provide a barrier to protect the developer from issues with the main encounter of the current phase. It simply shows the poor testing through and through and complies the concerns about the quality of Blizzard releases.
Not sure if it’s been resolved since you posted this; however, I can confirm MC breaks during KT with mini bosses up - I’m the main MC breaker in my guild.
Okay? Never said otherwise.
But I am getting more out of my 15 with bugs than I am without the content so I am content with bugged content since I am still getting more value per month.
If I am getting more value per month then I ain’t gonna complain about that when the other option was less value per month.
Correction, they play CoD all day instead of WoW.
