She’s not overtuned. People have been ignoring her mechanics in regular and now they are faced with actually having to learn and deal with those mechanics is all.
For example in one group the tank would chase her into the consecrate instead of waiting for her to come back. I was like wut?
Melee just need to stick to tank, and not get cleaved [I didnt actually know about the cleave and was wondering how she was healing, thanks].
Dont tank her in the tiny corridoor, ranged need space to move away from her ranged attacks.
She’s not remotely overtuned, but she could stand to be in the dungeon guide so people can at least point out what she’s leeching from. People kept blaming the tanks for consecrates which were planted 40 yards away with ranged leaps (the boss ran out of it faster than the people who stood in it), then proceeded to stand in leech cleaves and not soak pools.
Second group took some coaxing, but they got it. Helped that we warned them of the boss mechanics before we even queued and during the countdown on the airship instead of expecting people to watch chat midfight after they’re already panicking.
Doesn’t help that she doesn’t seem to even be in wowhead yet.
i did it a little bit ago on my pally. once people explained about soaking etc then it was fine. we one shot her. you get a ton of time fighting here where people can run back so you can just throw lives at her and not wipe. he got a hat from it.
wouldnt go that far this part could be trolling (or maybe just an exaggeration) prolly trolling because on heroic you cant 1 shot anything its harder(more armor, health, and dps by all mobs) but not as tough as the maker f the thread makes it out to be
It’s not hard if people communicate and do what they are told. I main tanked both “boss fights” 80% of the fight and lagged like crazy the whole time. It’s not hard you just have to have group who works together. If anyone AFKs it makes it harder.
It can be quite difficult in a mass pug raid when 2/3rds (or more) of the dps is melee. Tanks don’t get marked, the area gets too crowded to see the cleave markers, and she starts healing for 20% a pop. Throw in not taunting her out of consecrate so Danath ticks to death and people not soaking circles, and it gets ugly. Most of the problems I see are passive raid leads not marking tanks/explaining mechanics, but then again, a lot of times even when the mechanics are explained people ignore them.
TLDR: yes, the mechanics are understandable and manageable, but they are not typical-pug friendly. You’re rolling the dice joining a group finder group for the warfront while Liadrin’s the EC.
I’ve literally never seen this need to be done. Consecrate is placed with a ranged leap. She might stop and castbar once on her way out (angry LFR heroes often mistake this for the tanks not moving her), but she’ll run right back to the tanks.
More often than not you’ll see melee try to chase her into it instead and give her a ton of health.
