I’m really not the one to bi*** about loot, I’m not as hard core as OP but I’m playing more than a casual but not 10 hours a day so somewhere in between. And yeah LOOT SUX yesterday I tanked about 8 dungeons and didn’t get one drop. I’m at the point where I don’t want to RAID or do Mythics because I’m not getting any advancement.
While doing PVE I seem to get trash greens all the time but again there’s no advancement.
This is more than likely true, although it’s not just because of the loot. I had run 5 heroics and the LFR wing on my main and only got one drop from ToP. Then ran 4 M0s for the weekly and got 5 drops. Feast or famine isn’t the way to keep people IMO. If I hadn’t gotten lucky and suddenly been able to play for those extra 4 hours I wouldn’t have gotten anything for the week. Add that to The MAW grind, Torghast and no flying and I’m out after the holidays until the spitegate is over and I can level some alts without scratching out my eyes.
It’s not the gear that’s upsetting you, it’s that you’re not getting as much as Mr. Backpedal Andy over there. BFA left a very bad precedent for spoiling people, and now it’s in everybody’s head. Learn to be complacent and your rewards will literally have more value.
people realize the covanant gear is upgradable right, i mean gearing up isnt that hard even if you dont do dungeons much, just play your covs story and get the gear pieces, do torg which can be solo, to get your leggo, (yes some leggos drop off dugneon bosses and i understand that feels lame for some).
Speaking as a very Filthy Casual without a guild who gets in two to three hours a day; I’m depending on the WQ, Mission table, and maybe three or four heroics a week to provide upgrades…besides those I can find in the auction house if they’re cheap enough. Worked well enough since 2015, should still work now.
What’s really irking me however is not the severe reduction in drops but rather what drops. I knew, deep down I knew, the moment I made those legendary boots, every drop from then on would be more boots. It’s almost like those creepy targeted ads; I see you looked at boots, let me change every ad to boots for you. Huzzah!
