Ky'veza Cheese Mechanic

I’d hope not. using spell reflect for incoming magic damage is just using a class mechanic for what it’s for. The kills should be turned back but it’s not like players were using saronite bombs to regrow platform. They were using a spell called spell reflect designed to reflect spells back an enemy…to reflect spells back at an enemy. this is a blizzard L for failing to do good testing and shouldn’t be put on players (besides rollback).

Yeah… the normal versions are supposed to be incredibly easy, could probably do all of them with the one button rotation and watching netflix We are talking are talking about the hard mode.

…it’s also not like players knew that using those bombs would regrow the platform [cause, be honest, who would reasonably think that using a bomb near a destroyed platform would regrow it?], but Blizz permabanned them regardless…

We’re removing kill credits and any rewards, such as the Delver’s Mana-Skimmer Schematic: Hyperdrive, from all accounts that exploited the bug.

Please also remove the achievements from all the brewmaster monks who exploited leaving Kyveza’s boss room during the enrage by using transcendance and killing her through the door completely ignoring the mechanic meant to kill you because you took too long.

There’s a video on youtube that has been making it’s way around the monk community of someone cheesing it like that, very easy to find out who did it like this as well.

Seeing as any Warrior with a brain will use Spell Reflect the moment they see incoming Magic Damage (or assume it’s magic damage, if you’re not sure use it anyways) I would hope they won’t get suspended.

Plus it’s not the first time Warrior’s Spell Reflect could be use to trivialize mechanics this expansion. On Queen Ansurek the adds with the telegraphed beam could take massive damage from a Warrior using Spell Reflect by standing in the beam.

i dont think a suspensions is going to happen.
it was not like the df profession daily reset exploit

if they do it will not be the first time they did that remember that one mage with spell steal soloed the military wing of nax in wrath

It’s not a customers responsibility to bug test, that’s the company SELLING you a good/service.

yea blizzard was on some looney tunes stuff in wrath. For anyone that wasn’t well versed at the game at the time it might’ve seemed like an obvious exploit but…using bombs for DPS WAS very much a thing at the time.

I killed her today on ? difficulty on my evoker and she didn’t give any achievement at all like she was supposed to.

So I’m guessing the whole thing is shut down until the season starts? Not even starting on ?? yet if we can’t get credit even legit.

Lol I did ky’veza ? as feral with obr. Felt kinda dirty but tbh this fight is not at all about the dps. And I’m still learning feral so I don’t feel bad.

Why not removing Spell Reflect from the Warrior attack pool once for all?.
This attack always was problematic in terms of cheesing mechanics or bosses. It happened the same with Zekvir in season 1. In first week of season 1 all who killed Zekvir hard mode were warriors using what?. Spell Reflect!!! so this is not even new. So purge this attack from their spell book or revamp it to not be so OP like always.

I mean I found all the one shot mechanics to be hard but to each their own, which is literally everything but her melee. I was also kind of goofing around cause I know it’s the easier one.

Wow, this is a world first achievement for WoW devs!!!

It’s a QA failure.

No doubt there’s a simple flag (like a check-box) for a spell as to whether it can be reflected or not. Somebody forgot to check the box.

Edit: they SHOULD be embarrassed that it keeps happening. it should get built into their automated tests. if something is flagged as spell-reflectable, it should require a manual “OK”.
