You guys are actually getting into battles? I stopped trying when I had over a twenty minute wait time. Not going to beg for it. and yes…I was doing other things waiting to be qued up…
Pretty much this, back in vanilla (and when it comes in classic) players under level 60 could join, they would generally stay behind doing quests while those who are max or near max would push forward with the PvP. Also AV was designed to be a PvEvP map with both PvE and PvP objectives mattering alot. This is why you can summon raid bosses.
What wolf farming quest?
I was able to get my badges by looting player bodies and turning in the armor scraps.
But I do agree to an extent that this is a little much compared to what PvE’ers had to do.
It’d make more sense if the mount was granted from just winning the BG once.
Yeah I agree, more tedious than the raids…
The mount should have been an update to the original wolf anyway. (Horde Side) I dont know what mount alliance gets.
I dont know if I will even finish the pvp one just because its so stupid.
I would say it would be best having a quest. 10 AV games, wins count as 2.
This would resolve any issues at hand. But people, like always will still do mines for buffs.
51-60 level range, it was great. Getting the Ice Barbed Spear from the quest was such a ridiculous upgrade for the sub-60s.
It’s kinda bunk to be honest. I’m glad I don’t like either mount so I’m not going to even going to bother.
I love Korraks Revenge. Doing the Rams/wolves is actually pretty helpful as long as someone does the other half of the requirements for the mounted elites. They’re very strong and can be almost as helpful as Lokholar or Ivus if you use them to push.
People running around the mines just for the badges are taking the long way. Doing armor scrap turn in was WAY faster for me and it’s more fun since you actually get to pvp and you get more honor too.
Overall Alterac Valley (new or old) is one of my favorite bgs. I like the feeling of “controlled” wpvp. Finding the right balance of pve and pvp is important for playing it effectively. Honestly when warfronts were first introduced i was hoping for them to be much more reminiscent of AV and Ashran

Yup, you easily get 20-40 armor scraps per player character. And if your quick to loot you can get 300+ very quickly in a massive battle.

Calvary charges for the win + air support muhahaha.
They made it this way because players would cry to no end if they had to engage in actual pvp to get the mount.
Imagine putting the classic battleground back in, but then giving in a quest that requires nothing but PvEing.
Rather than fighting, people end up farming the mine and running rams. No one actually plays the objectives to actually win the fight.
Imagine putting PvE quests in PvP.
We need to start calling things what they are. PVErs need their hand held. The game is centered around them like a petulant child whose parents walk on eggshell around them.
PVE is Dance Dance Revolution. It’s for people who can’t handle variables. A wise man once asked “What did they teach you at school today? Did they teach you want to do, or did they teach you how to think?” PVEs are parrots. They learn by rote and spit out talking points. PVPers are thinking 3 steps ahead in 4 different directions. PVErs use mods to know where to stand. PVPers have to find the healer and take them out before the enemy does.
They’re a joke group of people who should be Scarlet Lettered as they walk around this game. Get the best PVP gear by raiding - by all means - but you should be shamed for it.
This again?
So much whining and complaining about AV.
That’s what AV is: PvEPvP
Well, at least the old, good, much superior version anyway
Jeeblus people.
Now I know why Blizz gutted it over the years. Seeing people’s reaction… I would have done the same thing just so I wouldn’t have to hear it
100+ HK average over six matches. Some PvP must be taking place.

So people should be shamed for playing more than a single aspect of the game? Well that’s awkward.
What is even more entertaining, it is a win for the Horde virtually everytime…nicely redesigned guys…lay off the alcohol and think a bit
It’s AV, it’s not pvp
I’m sorry, I’m pretty sure everything that has happened since WoD is proof that they hate PVPers.
I don’t PvP so I don’t fully know what you guys are talking about, but yeah the point of battlegrounds should be to win.
i’m guessing the op doesn’t pvp either.
AV has always been primarily pve focused.
A pvper would know this.
I think Holinka just wanted to make Ashran and warfronts look good in comparison.
