I like answering curiosity! And yeah, I’m just.one of those weird people who avoids PvP for the sake of my mouse not getting thrown across the room. LOL
Yup! It’s small and there’s not a ton of RP left there. But my little group still does. Hehe. We’re also Connected to Steamwheedle Cartel and Kirin Tor. I’m also on MG and WrA for RP as well.
Since it came out it is all I’ve been doing. Leveled 12 Alliance and 9 Horde toons. Accumulated 5600+ Timewalking badges just from Korrak. I generally play Horde now and during the long queue pops, I farm manapearls.
It has been a blast and I hope Blizz keeps it, but fixes all the bugs and terrain exploits (DH I am looking right at you ).
I leveled a character from 60 to 110 for heritage armor and my win rate was 8.33% which is actually lucky for an alliance player from asking around. 5 of those wins came right after Christmas as something was in the water then. I’m happy to never step foot in there again.
I think it was biased against alliance to make us feel bad but I only jokingly think that. It was heavily biased though, sad.
Hahah! And yes, win ratios would be kind of interesting. The thing about Korrak’s is: as long as horde have enough tanks and heals and folks who know how to push the PvE stuff (NPCs) and guard bunker caps, they should win - due to the imbalanced start points. The ratio of lowbies on each team - a factor that can’t easily be known - would affect outcomes as well, but as mentioned above horde still have the overall ‘rush’ advantage.
Man this was an incredible way to level alts! I am sad to see it go. Thank you so much for this Blizzard! Please bring it back someday as a Brawl! I really missed the old AV. It just needs a couple of bug fixes and tweaks and it could be a viable BG for the long term.
sad its ending, but i think it should since im having a heart attack sometimes (not really) but…with the afkers, the SF GY cappers, the lack of support to retake our bunkers, i think im scarred for life
I was just thinking how odd it was that I am finally leveling my paladin whom I had shelved for all these years after using the Legion prepatch to get her to the mid 70s… and I’m enjoying prot pally again
I’ve leveled about 8 Alts, including a Level 80 whose experience I stopped so she is ready if ever the call comes up in Trade looking for a Healer for ‘Herald of the Titans’. (She’s fully geared in ilvl 100 Wrathful gear as well.)
I enjoyed leveling my Void Elf Priest, even though it was frustrating Alliance side, but had the most fun with my Zandalari Druid.
I think I’ve finished, but I don’t want to be! I have every class at 120 now, but so, so many Alts still!
I’d finish Horde side, having just done several days of gut-wrenching losses with Alliance. (Except for the two PuGs I found myself in, where it was made blatantly obvious that Alliance can win spectacularly, competently and fast!)
Right outside the traditional entrance to AV in Hillsbrad.
The Alliance one is to the west just south of the Growless Cave where the Christmas event is. The Horde one is all the way to the east just northeast of Taren Mill.
Win or lose I now have a bunch of 120’s in heirlooms and way under leveled pieces who haven’t touched a heart of azeroth or anything else. Oddly enough taking them out to quest after against leveled mobs that are 120 gets them steam rolled by normal mobs. At this point they’ll stay under geared and I’ll find something else to do.
That said… I love the event. The BG feels like it’s the only place I can contribute to something in this game with other people regardless of progression differences.
