Korrak's Revenge is over in 10 days ⚔

thank you for this! I was wondering how long I had left to level this hunter alt haha

Done Korrak’s Revenge for so long, going back to regular leveling for the new allied races will be hard lol.

I haven’t played it at all. How long does it take to get the mounts?

They will never release statistics about that event. I would love to see them though.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.

Leveled quite a few alts.

A little concerned about how much this whole event has devalued the leveling process, but oh well. This kind of inflation is not usually a sign of good health.

An accurate faction win/loss ratio would frankly be embarrassing. It’s kinda a shame, though, that it shows that asymmetrical battlegrounds just aren’t balanced very well, from Korrak’s Revenge being Horde favored to the modern one being Alliance favored (I guess. I’ve only played Korrak’s Revenge on Horde, not modern AV, so I know the difference between the sides on that one first hand).

At least leveling in Shadowlands should be less “painful” than it is without Korrak’s.

I had no idea of this! I’ve been painstakingly gearing up each alt with Nazjatar gear and hoping for trinket and ring WQs to come up. Thank you!

I know when it was released, there was ENDLESS wailing and gnashing of teeth about how bad it was. So much so, that I avoided it for a couple weeks (honestly, I was busy with other RL stuff).

And so when I finally got around to it … I was done before I even figured out what I needed to do. lol

The main thing (if you’re Horde), is simple: WIN! (you get 20 badges for a win, 10 for a loss).

If you’re Alliance and can’t get in a pre-made, you seem to only have about a 5% chance of winning. So in that case:

1> Get the quest, and capture a Tower (10 badges, is a daily).
2> Get the quest, and defend a Tower (10 badges, is a daily).

3> Get the quest, and capture a GY (10 badges, is a daily).
4> Get the quest, and defend a GY (10 badges, is a daily).

5> Get the quest, and capture “YOUR” mine (10 badges, is a daily).
6> Get the quest, and capture “ENEMY” mine (10 badges, is a daily).

Seems like a lot, but it’s hard to do any of those things because only ONE person can do them. Like, when you go to capture a GY, it’s generally 3-5 ppl clicking on the flag, and only ONE person will get credit for it. So… it’s not as easy as it sounds.

But for me as Horde, I think it took me 5 games to get my mount. Which I consider a gimme. That’s nothing.

More like instant level 320ish and then go fall asleep in Mechagon trying to replace your Rings/Trinks.

Ooh right, I need to get on that before I miss out on the wolf. I’ve been getting distracted by other things, like the new Diablo season.

Working on my allie races now. Just finished my Mag’har Orc and Void Elf. Now working on a Dark Iron Dwarf.

Benthic + Timewarped AV vendor (rings/weapons) + highborne trinket + mechagon punchcard = ~388 within like an hour of 120.

Ooo where is this vendor???!??! Please?!??!? (vibrates with excitement)

I haven’t leveled all I wanted but I leveled all I will. I already have 120s of each class now so it’s purely for alts/unlocks.
I levelled a Highmountain to 120 to unlock their armour and immediately decided I’m not gonna 60-120 in Korrak again, the last bit may be fast but the earlier stuff ain’t. Especially since the quality of people still doing Korrak has declined.

Arathi Highlands, the actual entrance to AV.
Items cost Marks of Honor + Timewarped Badges (not a lot).

If you’re not sure where they are anymore (its been a while since we had to run there), it’s West of Tarren Mill for Alliance and North of it for Horde. There’s a cave on the map for both of them.

120 all classes is my goal. Cool you are done that.

Have a lock running this now for a 60-120 run. If she gets done…power level a DK till they close the door on this. Probably worgen to unlock the armour then race change to VE. I want the VE DK more…so 2 birds one stone.

That jsut leaves monk and mage.

Mage will be a 120 boost off the preorder package deal when I get to buying it.

Monk…well that I already planned to be a foxy monk lol. Vulpera who will bank on that daily hour of xp power so Korrack won’t be missed as much as with other classes.

I personally think Blizzard should be holding a “Korrak’s Revenge” event from time to time. Not just during anniversaries.
Just like how they are holding Timewalking events or bonus World Quest week.
We could have a Korrak’s Revenge week. Maybe once per 2 months or something.

It’ll definitely give people more motivation to level, because I don’t know when I leveled a toon from scratch last time.
Means more played time Blizz, the thing you want the most

I will second this.

Its fixed many of the issues of current leveling for me. Mainly its boring as hell at times. Ive always disliked 60-80. KOrrack reduces my exposure to this. Like after a match this morning I was still grinding one quest.

You need to find keys to unlock these here prisoners. How many will you kill to get these keys? You just don’t know.

Its really “fun” when its not the NPC guarding the cage. or the 2 closest other ones roving. Later its like Oh look…a key dropped. On a NpC nowhere near a damn cage after I killed 5 of these buttheads. Sigh…

And vice other BG’s, it says all are equal. you will all be 60 like.
