Korrak's Revenge Gutted

Haven’t needed a babysitter in years. Both of my kids are grown and gone with families of their own.

Oh. I’m not talking about your real kids.

Didn’t get it cause I didn’t see one. Must be a Gen Z thing from TikTok.

I wish blizz didn’t design PvP things around people who say this.

They don’t, but they are willing to Nerf anniversary events for casuals. So I’m good with that. Regular PvP is undisturbed.

you’ve volunteered to push the boulder up the hill next, it seems.

Yep, we are not at 5v1 and I am still winning. Maybe I am good at PvP and just didn’t know it.

edit: of course to this post as well.

If you can link one “mad” thing I have said in this thread, then you have a better memory than me. I’m just chatting with folks. I am also chatting in 5 other threads.

I’m pretty sure it’s people like you that make this game to easy. I’ve been playing this for 20 years, and I loved the game because of the difficulty in classic, those days epics actually ment something to the player. Today in retail epics are handed out as if they are candy’s.

Av was never ment to be a 10 minute battle ground , it’s suppose to mimic a war between horde and alliance, it’s suppose to give that epic long battle to players. It was ment to be a challenge. I’ve done just about everything in this game that it has to offer. I’m on both side of the community.

What frustrates me as a player, is that any time any thing “difficult” gets added to the game one side or the other, someone complains about it being to difficult and demands nerfs. I loved pvp back in the old days because it actually ment something. But now most of the player base just ruins everything that blizzard releases because “it’s to difficult, and I demand it be nerfed” I’m pretty sure by now, it’s players like you who take the real challenge out of the game and want everything handed to you.

If I were making up numbers, I would choose numbers that made sense toward supporting my narrative, rather than numbers that disprove my premise.

well, the good thing is that the numbers are all made up, so this is at best a criticism of diction, not of the argument.

I’ve only played 19 years (this January). I remember the good times of farming warlock shards just to raid, making my own poisons as a rogue, carrying Flint & Tinder with simple wood just to make a fire and cook for my Hunter pets. God forbid I did not feed them, otherwise their damage was reduced, and if that red frowny face stuck around long enough, they would simply run away, or worse, turn and attack me.

I can remember spending months in TBC grinding all 4 wings of SM with friends just to hit level 40 and have enough gold to buy my Riding training and one mount. Then when I hit 60 and got that 100% fast kitty mount, I was elated! Carrot on a Stick from the raceway in the Salt flats was just the bees knees! Then Wrath rolled along and I could not wait to make every kind of Death Knight there was, and since you could only have one per server, I would make it, see the gear and the animations, and then delete it and start over to see how the next one looked and felt.

IceCrown and Firelands were my last big bastion into Hardcore Raiding. I spent 30-40 hours a week playing while also starting myself up in business. The time had finally come that my playtime was reduced, and the casual was born. Now, don’t misunderstand me. Just because I am ok with, and cheer on, the nerfing of more challenging things, does not mean I asked for them. In fact, I was even pushing some M+ on the weekends in SL with friends.

But now, as I have moved just over the 50 mark, I’m happy with less complicated content, and lots of solo play. I never asked for Delves, but I enjoy them. The only thing I ever wanted was Account wide everything. Warbands is the first step in that process, and hope they unlock all of the legacy rep and currency at some point. So, while you are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to be my casual self and celebrate the moments where challenge and tedium are tossed aside in a 20 year old game to make what should be a fun event (and yes, fun is subjective) easier for people to complete. Not everyone has 40 hours a week the way we did back then. Someone might only have 2 hours before work, or 90 minutes before the kids wake up. Who knows?

Ultimately, I will not feel bad if it ALL turned easy, and casuals finally got the enjoyment from the game that those who prefer challenges have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy for the past 20 years. Rated PvP, Mythics, and more are all still waiting to be conquered. So do I feel bad one old BG got squished to help us out during this event? Nope. I won’t be made to feel bad over something that should have come this way when the event launched. So if you were going for shame, blame, guilt, or some other thing in your well articulated post, I’m not wearing any of those mantles.

And on that note, I am off to bed. Big day tomorrow in PvP and PvE for that matter. Lots to do at the event grounds, and more raids to run in BRD. Have a wonderful evening all. See ya round Azeroth

Ahh, I think you hit the nail on the head. No reason to delete the truth.

This is without a doubt the stupidest take in the entire thread. Hahaha how do you even justify your reasoning? This is a homage / throwback to how the ORIGINAL AV played out.

This is PLAYER VS PLAYER game mode, not a “let me one shot orcs” PVE content.

You could not que for a pvp event and instead go to say, Siege of Orgrimmar, to fulfill your desires to have no challenges or push backs.

Because most players couldnt even get inside a tower without being killed in 3 hits by a single archer?

i never said mythic + and raiding want toxic but you guys are the most. m+ and raiding dont shove away 100% of the people like pvp players do. even if its at 90% its still not as bad as pvp. also i dont care about the opinion of someone whos been attacking people for asking questions. im probably a third as toxic as you cause other than no ragnaros quel and such i dont deny people and i only dont invite them based on ALL my past experience with them. there is no high horse theres just some of us who are the problem mainly you and then everyone else

yea but it brings me joy. outside of this game im a horrible person so others suffering is my joy. there crying about a non rated version which is for everyone and since its for everyone it was never for pvp players

no as the minority your enjoyment holds the least value. the majority is the money

im glad they nerfed it to make it quicker to get the 10 coins. i got my fill of old av back during the days of vanilla i dont need to do it again. anything related to the bronze coins i want to get as quick as possible so i dont have to farm them again and if that comes at the cost of a single limited time pvp event im ok with that same as if they took brd and make it so easy you could afk through it and still get it done. i dont need to or want to waste time farming the bronze. if you want long av games go play classic
