What level is the gear from the prepatch event? It is lower that 272, right?
I’ve been stating over and over, 99% of curent blizzard employees are diversity hires that can barely open an excel. Whatever decent programmers were there, they left amid the lawsuits, screamings and screenings. Blizzard is really just another big twitter, held up by strings and nothing valuable behind.

Different take than most people here, but here is my 2c. I am ilvl 303, pretty much fully BiS minus a couple items upgraded to mythic quality. CE every tier. And I wanted these items because it felt like a valid reward for my badges. At least I can feel good about buying 272s, knowing they were useful to someone and that someone may not be me. But right now if I were to buy any of these? It feels like I am getting screwed out of badges for legacy appearances that should just be on the legacy quartermaster for gold. What a ripoff. hours of play to collect the marks of honor through multiple bgs, just to buy stuff to vendor that is 100% useless. That feels bad. This gear helps nobody and is a waste of time beyond transmog.

Really hoping the 164 ilvl is a mistake. Messing up the Korrak’s Revenge launch twice only to reward uesless gear is pretty bad. And following the recent trend, there’s absolutely no communication about it from blizz.

Interestingly the Ice Barbed Spear quest reward is lvl 182. I wonder if these would scale as well?
Inept apathy killed wow. When the Microsoft deal blows up and bobbi loses his golden parachute there’s no telling what his animosity will cause for actiblizz.

The deal isn’t going to blow up. It’s going to go through. The countries making a stink over it ultimately cannot legally block it, them giving approval is just a formality.

The issue, and both EU and the British have shown a recent penchant for turning these down. It mostly involves COD and other games Microsoft would make exclusive to their platform denying sony hardware access.
Microsoft had a chance early in this process to promise to keep the games available on all platforms. They didn’t so the eu went forward with the next step to saying no to the merger.
Again, they cannot legally block it. They can say no, and Microsoft/ActiBlizz can go through with it anyways. It’s a formality. Countries outside of the US cannot decide what two US entities do. If you want to say that I’m misinformed, perhaps cite the legal code. Because, in reality, there is nothing the EU, Britain, Brazil, or any other country can do to stop a deal between two American corporate entities. All they can do is whine.
I’m not going to bother to cite many many cases that prove you are wrong. There is a set of laws governing international trade that began with NAFTA, but the EU can say no to operating the game in the EU.
China has already decimated actiblizz there.
I guess you do not realize that there is a separate company running the games in the EU.
