including myself, there is a type of solo player that made a “game” of looping multiple areas from BFA onwards to hunt crates for conq. Removing the conquest from crates does nothing to improve the game, does nothing to improve fairness or improve the quality of pvp in general. In fact, i would argue it will hurt PVP in the long run. Folks dont want to slog 15-20 year old BGs for conquest anymore. This was a bad decision. I will play less because of it.

Honey, Why should you get conquest from farming crates in past expansion zones that nobody contests? Conquest is for current content. its about time they fixed those crates tbh.

Maybe an oversight, maybe a bug fix. Either way, conquest is probably not coming back to non-current zone crates. Join a crate farm raid (or solo) and I’ll see you there so you can, ya know, pvp for it. 
meh welfare crates from old expansions were kind silly.
The problem now though is that alliance outnumbers horde pretty hard in pvp. All the horde groups I’ve joined have fallen apart after they realize they only get like one crate because they can’t fight two full alliance raids in every zone.
Which does kinda make me lol because all the other replies to this thread are alliance so obv they don’t see the problem.
dunno why you mouth breathers are saying there was no pvp in the old world crate drops. there are plenty… low numbers, but plenty.

Probably because crates were on a daily lockout for Conquest before TWW and it was just an oversight last expansion.
Crates weren’t farmable from BfA-DF.
Well, we had almost two years of crate drops… all over. ITs a gut punch to trash it now. Daily lockouts COULD STILL WORK in old zones. 1 crate per day per zone, except current zones.
Is there another aspect of the game that you don’t have to participate in current content for current rewards? It’s an honest question.
I’ve seen a ton of Horde players in full Conquest/equivelent, so it isn’t like it isn’t achievable without farming crates from old zones.
Plenty. There are numerous pve aspects of the game that use old zones. Having a crate a day lock out in an old zone in warmode isnt too much to ask, considering the pvp community has been splashed on hard over the years with dead content and being ignored. Its just one more thing they take away out of pure spite and office tears
Conquest is easy. All you have to do is play the game.

conquest isnt new. some folks dont want to do rated sperg blitzes on OLD bgs
