Unsolicited advice on how to play your class is rude. Especially when half the time, the people who feel the need to “offer advice” are actually idiots.
I’ll never forget the people in BC telling me that I shouldn’t be using lower ilvl blues that had more armor itemization as a bear druid. “You shouldn’t have passed on that epic high agi staff. Your blue extra armor staff is garbage!”
