An easy, but awful solution. You’d clear up to that point then just have to backtrack for 2 minutes, if it even came to mind that “hey, maybe that boss being alive is why she’s not spawning”. It’s unintuitive. Just slap a barrier on the boss arena. Or design the room in such a way that the boss is sitting at the exit instead of a corner.
