Ah, that is possible I guess. If you are levelling a toon there are often quests at the start you can pick up to do. I never bother as they dont reward much of what I want and I there is anything I want I can go back when I have outlevelled them.
sounds like everyone did not want it
Were you doing Live Strat and ran straight to Balnazaar?
I did that last night. I only stopped to kill the first 3 or 4 bosses on the way to Bal, no way I’m running through all of Strat to kill Postman and the ghost and all that crap, no effing way. I was so happy when I saw the only credit you needed was Bal.
Yeah, that’s a good example of a place I usually don’t fully clear. I mean I’ll often go after The Unforgiven because it’s basically along the way, but the postman stuff I don’t think I’ve ever finished. Even solo.
I forgot where the ghost exactly was, so I’m pretty sure I ran past it. I’d rather skip crap than appear lost as the tank.
Thats not what fair means.
I’m mixed on it but my best answer is this:
The problem in here was communication. Maybe 4/5 of the people just wanted a quick dungeon.
I’d have asked and if people were like ‘nah bro I just want the progress on my weekly this is my 6th character’ I’d run it the way they want.
But you’ll also get groups who share your want and you’ll be able to do them all!
When you get out of the caged area with the plague rat ambush (I call this ambush the Mage Cage😁) I believe if you hang a right for a few pulls the ghost spawns, while the proper way to go is left past Timmy. It also helps that so much of the trash here is non-elite and goes down quickly, so it doesn’t take too much extra time to hit the quests.
I think a good example of a place where it’s better to skip the optional bosses is Dire Maul West. Kill the tree, kill the beast, kill the Prince. Don’t mess around with going upstairs…
well it is group finder. you are in group with 4 other people that got 4 different reasons for being there. everyone has different priorities. everyone is at different stages of progress. everyone has different amounts of time they can spend online. you cant expect everyone to take extra time to do extra tasks within a dungeon. best thing to do is to ask at the start. if they all agree then fine. if not then leave and do a follower dungeon to complete your quests.
i surely wouldnt kick you and i would actually help cause i know it dont take much more time to do. but i can also understand why some of the neck beards would be annoyed.
I think it does.
it would be more unfair to waste time going after those optional bosses
Also remember there’s a difference in context between leveling dungeons and timewalking. When the entire group is in the 30s everyone is much more likely to want to do all the quests in say Zul’Farrak for the xp. But when it’s time walking, no one cares about those level 30 quests and the 10g they offer. They want credit for their 5 dungeon weekly quest.
I’d rather skip all the quests at 30 too, especially if I’m Earthen. It’s quicker to just fly around and explore between queues, but I’m tanking so it doesn’t matter.
You can’t dictate the pace of the content for 4 other people and call it fair. Lol Most people don’t care about side activities anymore, they just want to power through trivial content to get it over with.
That’s what retail WoW has been for years now.
The xp they give are so low and 10 badges isn’t worth the time never will be
Have you considered communicating with the group?
Forest run Forest!
Majority rules - if you want to run the whole place and do every quest, ask the group and respect the majority.
Run off to do your own thing and you may be kicked.
yes, really, because
ok all this does it expedite the kick.
“i want to clear the whole dungeon”
the group - lol kicks
But that wouldn’t make for good bait.
